I initially bought it for cutting up old uniforms and such at work, but it's handy not only for trivial things, but for the day I might actually need it for the real thing (hopefully not). It's in my duty bag either way.

Very strong spring clip and the shears fit either way. Very well made.

I recently tried out a trauma shear holster, and while it has some useful aspects, it leaves much to be desired in terms of securing the scissors. Here’s my experience with this product:The overall design of the holster is functional and appears to be made from durable materials. It attaches easily to my belt or gear, and the size is compact enough to not be cumbersome. The aesthetics are decent, and it looks professional when worn.Unfortunately, the main issue with this holster is its inability to hold the trauma shears tightly. The shears tend to slip out far too easily, which is problematic during active scenarios. This lack of secure fit means I have to constantly check to ensure the shears are still in place, which is a distraction and could potentially be dangerous in an emergency situation. While the holster works reasonably well when stationary, any significant movement or activity can cause the shears to fall out. This inconsistency undermines the reliability of the holster and makes it less dependable for professionals who need to move quickly and efficiently. In summary, the trauma shear holster has some potential with its decent design and durable construction. However, its inability to securely hold the scissors is a significant drawback. If you are looking for a holster that guarantees your shears will stay put, you might want to consider other options. This product may work in low-movement situations, but for more active use, it falls short of expectations.

Fantastic product. The holster made of nylon which is firm/durable but ply able. The belt clip is also great quality. Shears fit nice and snug. No wobbling. As a preface I LOVE these holsters. These next few points are being super nitpicking but it’s a real world review from someone who uses it regularly. The nylon on the very edges of the holster overtime will start to fray. BUT this is easily and kinda permanently fixed by just melting the frayed ends with a lighter.Because these are made out of nylon unfortunately you can’t really wipe them down with bleach wipes or purple wipes at work. I mean I guess you can but I'm not sure how the material will handle those kinds of chemicals overtime.I would really like to see a price drop on these because I do feel they’re kinda expensive for what you get.Because you cant clean them properly if they get, uhhh, “soiled”, you’re kinda up a creek without a paddle. Happened to me and I had to replace it.Not a bad thing at all just a note, be aware these are designed to fit full-size shears. If you’re someone with small hands that is looking for a holster for mini shears they might work but it will be oversized. I haven’t tried it with smaller shears myself.

As a paramedic in a busy area, I was excited to use my xshear holder to hold my xshears…in one shift my shears fell out four times and so did the holster off my belt.

I love X-Shears, but they are tough to fit in EMS pants because of the handle length. Had the larger hard plastic case which worked well too but was too bulky and more difficult to take off the belt. This stays secured but is very easy to remove. Only complaint is that on some furniture, I will get up and realize the shears came out. Has happened twice because they don't lock into this sheath but haven't had an issue at all while on calls.

More compact and comfortable to wear then the plastic lock holder. The only negative is that the belt clip is complete unsecured and depending on positioning can be dislodged when exiting a vehicle or when moving patients.

The holster is very nice and is more compact than I was expecting, although it is really overpriced for what you are getting, still recommend it though.
