Our young kids LOVE playing tetherball on a set we bought them this spring. One of the problems, though, is that they are small -- and the very firm (and super-smooth) ball that came with the set was too hard for them to hit comfortably. I saw this softer option and jumped on the chance to try it out. It has been a HUGE IMPROVEMENT to our set, to the point that the original ball has been trashed. Even playing as adults, this one won't hurt your hand the way a hard rubber one will. The leather material isn't just a little bit softer, but it also has good tactile texture to it while you're playing. It's like the difference between playing with a cheap rubber football and a real leather one. Also, the attachment point is different and looks very sturdy. It's holding up great so far. If you enjoy some tetherball fun, this is the ball you want -- very highly recommended.

We can remember trips to the park or campground where there was a tetherball pole but no ball available. This tetherball comes in a compact box with everything needed to quickly be set up for a game with ball, rope and pump all included. This won’t take up a lot of space in the trunk or camper so no need to leave it behind.

My kids love playing outside. The nostalgia for me, the fun for the kids. We had our last one go flat pretty quickly but this one has held up really good in adverse weather conditions. The colors are good and haven't faded. Perfectly soft but sturdy for the little ones. For the money, a great buy! This is perfect to keep the kids outside and for those friends/family get togethers, for the kids to play and challenge themselves. Of course I never take it easy on my kids! I have to let them know I was the champ, back in 1994.

This tetherball has held up to at least 100 recesses now. Great durability. Easy to play. Would recommend.

Our family, especially the grandkids, enjoy bopping and socking our outdoor tetherballs that generally hang from one of our backyard trees. The zdgao tetherball by YDD Technology came ready to set up with everything we needed. It included a suitably long nylon rope with a stainless steel carabiner, plus a basic hand pump with two needles, for easy inflation. I'm keeping this indoors till warmer spring temperatures arrive for comfortable outdoor play; however, the tetherball has already been enjoyed indoors, hung from our metal upper bunkbed! It helped one "under the weather" grandson feel better, after he was picked up at school due to being sick. The ball has good stitching and the bright colored sections give it a special look. The handle that attaches to the rope is doubly stitched, and looks to be able to withstand lots of hard knocks (so far). This is a great way to get outside and enjoy family play time and the zdgao tetherball is perfect for our needs.

This tetherball seems to be a tad bit softer than the previous two we’ve had. They all “appear” to be well made and sturdy upon delivery and then inexplicably end up ripped from string to ball with competitive play. This is a back-up to our last replacement so we’ll always have one on hand. I’m certainly hoping this one inevitably has a longer lifespan.

The material is soft, which is great! It's not fun hitting stone when playing tetherball. The pump was adequate, but not worth saving. It took more effort than it was worth to fill. The stitching looks good. The way the the ball is anchored onto the rope looks promising, but time will tell. The biggest plus is that the rope came with what I thought was the perfect length. I also enjoy the carabineer clip with locking but that aecores it to my pole.

This YDDS Soft Terher Ball is made really well! The ball is really good-quality, it has a great thickness, rich material, and blows up & holds air really well. The rope is standard in length, (about 6'-7'), and it is strong & intertwoven very clean & effectively. The handel is made from a very strong material and stitched onto the ball very thoroughly, in a fashionable manner. The colors of the ball are very bold & saturated). The pump it comes with is very easy to use and even came with 2 Inflating Needles that screw into the pump nice & snug, which is a quality I really appreciate!I grew up playing Tether Ball and I can not find a Tether Ball set up anywhere anymore, and its very unfortunate because its such a fun game and I want my children to be able to experience like memories of their own!Also, my 20 month-old-son loves to throw things and play catch, and so I figured tetherball, (aka a softer ball on a strong rope), would be a highly effective way to let him throw balls indoors without breaking things, and an easier way for me to play with him and let him play by himself outdoors! I live in Wisconsin and it gets freezing cold outside here so Ive been trying to find alternative ways for my son to play more activley indoors. Tetherball has also turned out to be a great way for my 5yr-old-son to get out some of his agression, which is Amazing!Overall this Tetherball has been so much fun and such a Blessing! My 3 children, their 4 cousins, and I have been having so much fun playing with this, its been Amazing!*(Kids ages 1 to 9).
