Got rid of my complicated 25 year old system of stereo components and huge speakers. I rarely listened to it and it took up too much room in my house. Just needed something simple, small, with good sound. Well, this was it. The sound quality is great for this little, lightweight, affordable player. It's very versatile with its ability to play CDs, cassettes and AM/FM radio.

I had to return it because when I plugged it in, nothing happened. No lights. I tried everything, and I'm an engineer who designs electronics so I fully understand about bent connections and the like--none of that was happening. I bought it for the CD player.Additionally, two of the buttons for the cassette player wouldn't even depress; it's as if some metal were directly underneath, they simply wouldn't budge even a tiny bit. They didn't offer to send me another.The return went OK. I checked the box for a home pickup and rewrapped it in the packing materials and kept it by the door until they arrived. Because I can work at home this was plausible; the pickup was to be Thursday but they arrived Monday. Select drop-off, not home pickup if it might mean losing pay while waiting.

Looks & plays like it's brand new. The sound is amazing. I can imagine paying $100+ for a similar quality boombox. VERY satisfied.

i bought this item cause it can play cd's and cassettes. it is great i can play my tapes that i made in 1986. i even named it E.T. (he only ate 3 cassettes that were real old. He must have been hungry.ha.A good buy and sounds great. I am very happy with this item. Thank you. Karen Anne McCune

Plays CDs, cassette tapes and has AM/FM capability. For the price, it's a pretty good deal.

Do not buy it refurbished. It does not work very well, the sound is bad, because of some issues within the boombox, it makes strange sounds. Perhaps this was the problem with the particular one I purchased but I will buy it new if I buy it again.

Little boombox with a huge sound! It has more functions than I thought it would. Pretty easy to figure out, although I haven't tried shuffle and MP3 mode yet. It has a bass boost button, but doesn't really need it as the bass sound is pretty good. Still can't believe all that sound is coming out of such a tiny player!

It arrived broken..as in OBVIOUSLY BROKEN. The sound was distorted as if not tuned in properly, for FM radio and also CD playback. There is no way a technician worked on this "refurbished" product. It was exactly what I wanted; but I didn't want a broken unit. To send someone this unit was just begging for a negative review. Six of us wondered out loud how many people gathered round this bumbox wondering what was wrong with it. Lame; just really lame to waste other people's time like this.
