I wanted a CD player for background music whike I worked in my office and I liked the look of this system. I don't have a lot of room and this compact player is just the right size.Radio and CD player work well and sound good. You're not going to be happy blasting Judas Priest at full volume (the only way to play it) but blues sound good and I've been listening to an audio book and that does too.Overall I'm very pleased with this system. It looks great and does what I need it to do.

For this price range, you are definitely getting your money's worth. I got it in red. It's a good red. The most important thing to me, of course, was sound. I was pleased with the quality.

I got this to use for my CDs, not realizing that it has FM and AM radios on it! It works very well with high-quality sound and is very cute. The color is amazing! It is a perfect addition to my retro music corner. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a headphone jack for listening with headphones, but I don't mind playing my music out loud. I would definitely recommend this item!

Great sound, love that all the controls are at the front of the machine instead of the side or back. Looks amazing, much better than the photo. My elderly mom uses it to listen to music during the day (from 7am to 9pm) and the quality is great. Definitely will buy again when this one gives out.

First and foremost, the radio and boombox was not a Sylvania, but a Proscan, It's okay, but I would have appreciated Amazon letting me know beforehand. I have learned that Proscan and Sylvania are manufactured by the same company. The boombox arrived beautifully in tact with cord, brand new. It's small but not too small, and certainly not as big and bulky as the traditional ones. I have a superior sounding Sony stereo system that has too much bass for some CD'S, and I don't want to use it for some music selections. Obviously, piano is fine, because of the noise factor.

This radio is perfect. Reception is great. The shade of red is great. It’s not a fire engine red that I don’t like. It’s very compact meaning it is small and fits the space I wanted it for. I plan to buy more red pieces for the kitchen. I wanted a retro style radio c/d player and this fit the bill.This is a review for the green radio as I have the red too. I ordered green for mysecond home. The green isn’t matte. It’s slightly metallic anddisappointed me. It’s not obnoxiously green for me to send itback.

I love this radio and it had great sound. It's super cute and it's nice to have if you need a little radio on in the background. It's worth what I paid, for sure. However, the CD doesn't automatically play you have to push play after it reads the disc. The tuner is great with lots of variety, and strong, but you have no idea what you are tuned too because the dial is small and not very accurate. It's stylish and compact and travels anywhere you would like a radio, so it's worth it for me.

I am so upset. This portable CD player was purchased for a 92yr old who is in hospice and just wanted to hear the rugged cross and many other gospel songs. I had instructed her caretakers to open the box and write her name all over the CD player right away, so hopefully nobody would steal it in the hospital. They followed my instructions and wrote her name all over it and took it to her at the hospital. I had also purchased a gospel CD. She smiled when it was brought into her room. I was so upset when they plugged it in and it doesn't have any power. I am more upset because she only has a limited amount of time before she goes to heaven and she just wanted to hear her beloved music and this CD player was a waste of my money and a waste of everybody's time 😖! I cannot return it because her name is written all over it. I am so disappointed and I urge you to choose another CD player if you need one. I now have to try and contact one of the caregivers and ask them to run to a local store to pick one up. Just really stinks. I tried to surprise my lovely friend and now instead of listening to her songs, she has another lovely night listening to the monitor beeping. So disappointed.

I planned to use out by a barn to leave on all the time to scare of coyotes and predators as a radio does the tric plus keeps the livestock in touch with human noises. This unit is pretty sweet, the only reason I gave stars is cuz the radio tuner dial shouldve been made digital, cuz if the wind blows I swear the tuner knob is SOOOO sensitive it will change the station, like make the know harder to turn or something. Other than that, if you're using as cd player, then no worries. Cute radio, looks authentic ol skool!
