This little radio has excellent sound and retro look. All my deli/store customers comment on it and ask where I got it from. My co-workers have dug up all their cassette tapes and love to listen to them at work.

i just returned one of those Walkman look-a-likes that produced horrible, distorted sound with a lot of background noise coming from its tiny speaker. Aside from poor sound quality, most features either didn't work properly, or not at all! As I am used to much better sound quality than what ANY compact device is able to produce, due largely to its size limitations, I decided to search for a larger one. However, I didn't need or want a full-size recorder since its main use will be recording & playing back my old & new guitar practice sessions. My initial reaction to this device was "WOW", since I didn't expect the high volume levels it produces with clarity!!! It's heftier than expected, but not excessively, & all functions worked very well during its initial shake-down on its 1st day. It's solid & appears to be well-designed & well-made. My only concern is Chinese goods, especially electronic devices, aren't known for their long-term durability. My usage will be limited to remaining in my carpeted room so, even if I get careless enough to drop it, it will land on a soft surface. Plus, I am extremely careful with my toys, which generally last until they simply wear out or simply die of old-age. I'm genually shocked that this recorder only cost a few dollars more than the Walkman replica. At $40, I consider it a bargain in today's economy. It was nicely & securely factory packaged. Included inside the package is a warranty card which states " 90 days money back guarantee" (NOT WARRANTY) "366 days free replacement". A contact email is also provided (I hate those chats that most provide, since you end up arguing with a computer-generated voice that never comprehends what you type in, & continually requests more details, when you've already supplied everything you have.So far, all is good. I would have rated it 5 stars, except for the shortcoming I mentioned in the title of this review. The built-in microphone works well for a voice recording, but not so much if your goal is to record music, live or recorded. The sound this device outputs from commercially recorded music tapes from days of yore aren't any better or worse than when they were played back on a vintage cassette tape deck, which isn't terrible unless you are overly critical. What IS sorely lacking on this device is an external mic input. An audio input jack would also contribute to providing overall satisfaction. If at least a mic input were available, I would have rated it 5 stars+. I expect most purchasers will be surprised at its performance. By the way, it's also very user-friendly & doesn't require an engineering degree to figure out how to use it. Try one & enjoy!!!

I wanted a replacement cassette and radio combination to replace one that did not work very well. This one is excellent on AM ,FM ..I like it because it has rechargeable batteries. The radio tuner is great on AM . Really nicely made.

I love my little white radio with super powerful reception an awesome sound quality. I forgot how crisp and clear radios can be. The speaker on this one is very powerful and nice and loud. I haven’t used the other features yet. I bought it just so I could have the radio and use the tape cassette. If you have many tape cassettes like I do I would totally recommend buying this powerful little radio tape cassette.

Although the sound was good, the rewind button does not automatically return to original position. That was disappointing. I like to play the same cassette immediately over again. It was necessary for me to stand at the player, press the rewind button and wait until it had completely rewind. Wasted time. If I didn't manually stop the tape, then the power stayed on and a sound was evident. Can't understand why the rewind button, after finishing rewinding, doesn't click off automatically.

This portable cassette player/recorder was definitely worth the purchase. It’s the perfect size. But more importantly the sound is amazing. I love music and I listen to music everyday all day. So I am very particular about how it sounds. Do not hesitate to buy this one. You will not be disappointed.

Plays cassette's sound quality is just ok from speaker . Blue tooth works but disconnects often ,Am Fm. Sw Turner is not great and if you want to record something like you talking or singing forget it , very poor built in microphone

I bought this for my elderly mother and may get one for myself. I was very impressed, not only with the quality of sound, but also with the ease of operation. She wanted something that she didn't have to wear headphones with so sound quality was very important.This little cassette player is definitely worth every penny.
