I'm really happy with this boombox, it's got so many features and the sound is amazing. The only drawback was the amazon packaging, it was in a box that wasn't taped up all the way, with no padding, but at least the boombox original packaging protected it from damage. Would definitely recommend this boombox.

Me gustó mucho el producto y se escucha muy bien pero tiene una falla al seleccionar la fuente de audio que tendré que reparar por mi cuenta.

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound of this unit. I didn't expect it to have the sound of my Definitive Technology tower speakers and it doesn't but it looks very high tech and sounds very good---no distortion at all. Besides, it is loaded with features. The Bluetooth paired easily with my phone, the CD's play wonderfully and the cassette deck is very good with no hissing noise. I got the black one and it looks like a unit from a recording studio. Kudos to the engineers who envisioned this unit and brought their ideas to fruition.

Ok so it does look nice. I tried all functions. All went great. Bluetooth to I phone no problem. Tape deck plays and records nice. Probly better than expected Light show is cool, however I did notice some buzzing in the speakers when the lights are on Not horrible. But it’s there. Kill the lights when using the cassettes to record Only real complaint is the little wimpy fm antenna. I mean it’s really not at all impressive. And doesn’t pull in too many channels overall it is worth the money. It has decent sound nice functions I like it so far. Not sorry for this purchase. Update. Two days into use and all is well. Tried using a aux cord from my phone instead of Bluetooth for recording to cassette works the best. If you use type 2 tapes you gotta back way off your treble. Add almost full bass. And put your phone equalizer on bass full. Also I added a 5 foot antenna and pull in tons of stations. Just remember to turn off the lights when recording anything to cassettes. It is a decent boombox. Just order it. HUGE update. After a few weeks still love this thing. However the speaker lights became annoying with the unwanted noise in ever single function selection. So I opened it up and disconnected the silly lights from the circuit board. This was simple and takes more time putting the screws back in. Now this thing is about 8 times better sounding. And only has the vu meter lights and the tuner dial lit up. Perfect.

I've tested all functions i.e. CD (including CDs I made on my computer), cassette tapes, AM/'FM radio and all operated perfectly with better sound and volume than I had expected. The unit is attractive and shows well. The cassette controls are somewhat cheaply built but work okay if used with care. All in all, very pleased with this purchase!

I was on the fence about getting this since I was not familiar with the brand -- but I loved the look. I wanted AM/FM, CD, cassette, USB and Bluetooth in/out with decent speakers for a fair price. This was exactly what I was looking for and am so happy I took a chance. The sound is excellent. All features worked perfectly. I highly recommend!

I must have gone through every boombox Amazon sells. They’re all garbage except for this one. It’s incredibly loud and clear. The radio has great FM stereo, but AM sounds dull and lifeless. Wish it had a Japanese tuner so that AM would be wide band and sound decent like other models. The CD player, like all modern CD players cannot do continuous/gapless playback. It inserts a short gap between the tracks which can be annoying with many CDs that have continuous audio over multiple tracks. The cassette player sounds awesome for playback of original tapes or tapes made on an 80/90s deck. Beautiful playback. However, do NOT attempt to record anything on this unit. Like ANY modern cassette recorder, it’s only got a permanent magnet erase head (instead of electronic like older ghetto blasters or stereo component tape decks). What this means is that any recording will sound awful and will be riddled with bad tape noise…bad enough to NOT be tolerable. You’ve been warned. In order to really enjoy the tape function, play store-bought original tapes or tapes that were recoded on a proper deck.At $269, this is no bargain. Sure it sounds great but would be better priced at $179 - $199 CAD as I’ve seen this advertised in the US for $149 USD and as low as $99 USD on HSN.Excellent audio for a 2020s device, you’ll be happy but it’s expensive and ugly. Your ears will love it, though.

Owned this for just over a year and loved it - great look, awesome features. Was a huge joy rediscovering my cassettes and CDs.After a year the cassette transport began to fail for no apparent reason. Tapes played back with a slight chattering warble. Even worse, the pitch of the tape would slowly rise and fall (like an off center LP record playing very slowly). The pitch variation was as much as a musical half-step. (I tested the same tapes on an ordinary, cheaper player and they sounded perfect.) This was unconscionable so I took the thing out of service. I hadn't bought the insurance, so expensive lesson learned. One other issue I had (less of a deal breaker but not ideal) was with the CD player. For albums with music or sound that went from one track straight into another (such as a live album with applause between songs), the player would insert a split-second fragment of silence between the tracks. This became particularly annoying with music (such as prog rock) where everything was meant to flow as a suite. Suffice to say on the Studebaker, it didn't quite flow.I'll miss you, old pal, but it's time to move on.

I picked this unit over the GPO Brooklyn due to reading too many bad reviews about bad quirks and quality. I am quite happy with this at this price point and it actually delivers more sound than any of my Bluetooth speakers.Pros:-Sound is pretty good and it has some bass punch at up to 75% volume. Good treble too that is crisp. You won't find that low bass rumble here due to no sub-woofer. Studebaker is supposedly coming out with a new unit that features a sub-woofer.-Nice look and layout of controls-The light show is fun, along with the voltage meter. The lights may be turned off if you want.-Nice carrying handle.-Radio has good reception in my area with clear sound.-The CD player was quiet and quick reading. It was neat seeing the disc spinning behind the circular element.-The cassette sounded decent enough and has the soft open feature. All controls work fine.-Bluetooth responds fast to signal and plays perfect.Overall it's just a decent sounding and entertaining centerpiece to any gathering that is a little better and more versatile than a Bluetooth player. It feels animated with the pulsing lights and VU meter, etc. . .Cons:-During cassette use, the unit's power turns off when you hit stop and then goes on again when you hit play. This becomes annoying when searching for a track with the unit powering on and off each time you stop and check where you are on the tape.-A way to control the unit from your phone would of been nice.-The knobs seem to be plastic painted with a chrome finish.-The cassette controls are just a little bit weak, so need to be careful.-The radio control knob turns the opposite way of the radio station needle. Turning it clockwise make the needle go left, and vice versa.-It would of been nice to have a constant light mode on for the speakers.-When you turn off the light show, ALL lights go out completely. Would of been nice if the VU meter and radio dial stayed lit. That's about it. It's a fun and good sounding unit with some minor quirks that hopefully will be ironed out on the next generation Studebaker releases later this year. I hear it will have a subwoofer!I recommend getting this and just enjoying the look and the sound.

This getto blaster rocked on all levels and the speakers are retry fly considering the price. Yeah be carful with the tape deck door but if you have any common sense there’s no reason for it to break at all. Love love love this (aka: I’m a musician and know my gear pretty good and this is an amazing little multi boom box
