The edges of the template assure a perfect outline when used with Soss RGB100 template guide and lock nut, or the porter-cable template guide #42024 (lock face routing) and #42237 (lock nut). 3/8" Router bit size.

If your doors are already hung, then the door stops get in the way of the jig. There is no work around without destroying the door jamb, butchering the expensive template. I already just noticed after the fact that all the videos show fresh doors jams with not door stops.So, now I have hundreds of dollars of hinges and equipment idling around until I figure out a solution, and a very unhappy family that was promised all these new toys..

This thing seems a bit overpriced for what it is, but it will save you a lot of headaches if you install many invisible hinges. It is well made, and for someone doing this type of work, worth the money.

I have been trying to get SOSS to supply me with theappropriate router guide...but the hinges sold by Amazon are some off brand made overseas. They are NOT compatiblewith a SOSS hidden hinge. AND, to make matters worse,when I reached out to Amazon, I was told to fashion my ownrouter guide or seek a professional carpenter.

I don't normally work with this type of hinge. I carefully read and reread the instructions and contacted Soss for more help. I experimented on another piece of wood. I hated to start the project but I found the template actually works. I am very happy with my purchase.

This template is the perfect solution for installing SOSS hinges. Works extremely well. We installed 6 with no problems.Insure your router is setup per the instructions. I created a custom faceplate for my Makita Trim Router. Works well.

works, but not for the novice wood workers. highly suggest several attempts with practice boards before you cut your original wood.
