Plate Amp went dead on the stock Cerwin Vega XLS 12S home theater subwoofer. Bought the 350W Soundtown plate amp and it fits near perfect in the pre-existing cabinet cutout. Works amazing. No complaints. Exactly what I was looking for.

This plate amp is full of holes - vent holes on the side, the fan, all RCAs and all 6 XLR connectors. All of these holes will whistle when you use this to replace a broken plate amp in a typical home audio subwoofer box where an air sealed plate amp is expected. This amp is intended for commercial woofer enclosures where the plate amp is in a different chamber than the speaker driver. Also, many components rattles on the plate amp - probably not noticeable in a loud club environment, but will be annoying in a home theater.A few other issues:1. the low pass filter is only 2nd order, which mean "boomy" 150Hz bass content pass thru to the driver even if set at the lowest frequency.2. the high pass outputs' frequency is fixed at 100Hz and not volume controlled3. both L & R inputs must be connected to get full output level as they feed separate class-D amplifiers inside.4. there are no LFE input and with #1, LFE content will get some umdesired filtering.5. there is no automatic input sensing power switch, so unless you bend down to flip the power switch before/after use, it will always be on and consumes at least ~22W.6. the fan runs continuously when on and with #5, running it 24x7 will likely cause it to break in a few years like most PC power supply fans.

I use this custom fit to replace the failed crown amplifier in a JBL MPRO 418 powered sub. Shocking amount of power and great value! Perfect for a plate subwoofer replacement. Quiet and runs cool with lots of headroom.

I bought this to replace a blown amp module on an older case. I had to make the hole one or two inches taller. I don't remember exactly. I have the right tools so it was effortless. All the holes lined up with the existing holes except for the newly cut out top, so perfect. The knobs turn a little to easliy, that's why a 4 instead of 5. I can't turn it up above 50% without blowing up the speaker. I know, I did it. It sounds great. I would definitely recommend it.

Bought these for replacement for my Nuance subwoofer module N-200. There’s were slightly bigger, but some quick jigsaw work and it was plug and play. Worked perfectly. Doesn’t seem to be as much punch as my old amps, but it’s an easy fix and sounds good enough. Would recommend for as an inexpensive replacement for expensive systems.

Am impressed with this plate amp sounds good only one problem I see so far is the frequency seems to make the woofer make a bad sound but I enjoy using this amp thinking to buy two more

Generally speaking the amp works fine. I used it to power a previously passive 15" sub. There is some annoying noise from the fan which I've tried to fix with little success, but given my use case it's not a big deal. More annoying is the lack of useful documentation. After a bit of research and contacting the company, some helpful information: the amp is only rated for 4Ω and 8Ω (not for 2Ω), with power ratings of 700W and 400W RMS, respectively.

Used this amp to replace the one out of my 10" pure acoustics home subwoofer. It is way more power than the sub can handle but you can turn it way down. Sound is pretty good. The adjustment knobs feel very cheap. The built in extra power LED is a nice bonus. Looks fairly well put together and there is silastic on the heavier bits and pieces.Packaging could have been ALOT better. All in all I would buy again when I need another.

I turned a pair of passive 12in DJ subwoofers into powered subs. Easy install! They turned out pretty good. They sound great and did a good job on some holiday parties I had this year. The seller shipped them fast. Great price!

This amp has solid specs and was easy to install and set up. I was replacing the blown amp in a Polk Audio PSW505 powered subwoofer. Polk still didn't have any replacement amps available during all summer of 2020 so I thought I'd try this. So glad I did! Keep in mind that the hole in the back of the Polk subwoofer is too small for this plate amp so you will need to enlarge the hole considerably. But with a little work my sub is running again for less than the replacement part from Polk - and FAR less than a new subwoofer!
