Nice clean fabrication. Not a piece of junk. Recommend for sure. Splendor tools are not super cheap, just less than typical jewelry supply. That's good enough for me since they (jewelry supply specialists) mostly gouge on tool prices. So, funding a good tool at a fair price is in line with my values. I will always look there first when I need a good tool.

I am so impressed at the quality of this swage block. A careful examination shows real craftsmanship in its machining. Right angles are accurate, and half rounds are half round. It's appearance is more like a piece of modern art than a tool to beat on.

I honestly wasn't expecting this much bang for my buck.The swage block is beautifully surfaced on all sides, the edges have been nicely chamfered, and the amount of packing grease was perfect! Not so little that it would rust, and not so much that I would have to scrape it off with a trowel. It also came with a nice silicone rubber footpad/tray which dampens vibration/noise and sticks very well to the bench to keep the block from sliding all over in use.I am actually, thoroughly impressed and will be ordering from this company again soon.

It is clean and smooth so it does not leave tracks of it's own in the metal.The price was only $30 !!! A real bargain! I had paid $80 for my old one (that seems to have found other housing or a new landlord when we moved!)I was afraid it would be junk and am very pleasantly surprised. I like it!

This block is smooth and well finished. Other blocks that are finished this well usually cost much more (Durston, etc.). The orange silicone base is something I've not seen with any other brands, and it's really nice to have for sound dampening.

Decent for the price, but it’s a bit over-polished without removing all the scratches. Why high polish without putting in the prep work first? Main issue here is one spot in particular that was marred (as marked in the red circle in the pictures), but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed with some minor file work. Overall, for the price, it’s still a good value.
