I make cotton yarn octopus for the preemies to have with them in their isolets at our local hospitals. I like to put safety eyes on them but have a hard time getting the eyes properly set due to the advanced arthritis in my hands (and the fact that I don't want to get the recommended surgery). These pliers are the perfect helper!! I had several octopuses ready to go & waiting for their eyes when the pliers arrived. I was able to quickly, easily, & properly set the eyes on the octopuses with these pliers. SO thankful I found them!! To whomever came up with these wonderful helpers -- THANK YOU!!! I highly recommend these for anyone who makes stuffies -- I'm already starting on some more difficult arumigumi creatures for my grandsons now that I know I can put the safety eyes & noses that they critters need to bring them to life on without difficulty.

When you’re working with worsted weight yarn and small safety eyes, it’s easy enough to put them in with your hands. However, when you’re using bulky / jumbo yarn and large safety eyes… it is so hard to get the backs on with the thickness of the yarn. I end up getting dents in my fingers. This tool has been a lifesaver! It is so easy to put the safety eyes on, you don’t even have to use a lot of force. I thought the tool was going to be about the size of a paper hole punch but it is really large, this makes it easy when you are working with large projects and thick yarn. There is also a tiny extra piece hidden in the handle for you to use when you’re using tiny safety eyes. No instructions were included in the box so I had to reference the listing for which way to use the tool. The flat side is where the eye goes and the side with the hole is for the washer.I absolutely love this tool and will be recommending it to my crochet friends!

This is so easy to use I wish I had gotten one a while ago, it's so much easier to get the back of the safety eyes on securely without hurting my fingers. I really like that it comes with an attachment for smaller eyes. I do question how well it will last over time as the plastic feels a little flimsy but so far nothing has bent or moved out of place and I haven't had to struggle at all to get the eyes secured (other than trial and error with the back piece falling out until I realized it worked better to place to back on the eye post and then use this to secure the two together)

I'm a professional crochet artist and sell my stuffed animals. I use safety eyes, and have always strugged attaching the washer to the eye. I got some of those wooden tools to assist but never liked how they work-found them to be awkward. Finally, I decided to try the safety eye tool. Why didn't I try this sooner? Why didn't I know what I was missing out on? I LOVE THIS TOOL! It is so easy to use and so fast. No more struggling. If you do a lot of crafts with safety eyes, this is a definite must to add to your toolkit!
