Some of the tips break as soon as you put it against the metal, the teeth break off cheaply made

I had used the HF version previously but the teeth kept breaking on the cutters. This was a lot less expensive and seemed to work better. Cut out 10 or so welds with ease and with only one side of the first bit. Very pleased.Only caveat is that the hole diameter is rather large. You should plan on scrapping the part you are drilling through.

I didn't think these would be any good but I was very surprised. Dont waste your time with a centre punch, drill a 2 or 3mm hole to centre the cutter and away you go.Each cutter lasts a very long time.I’m a fabricator by trade not a DIY’er so I like good tools, these work well.

Works great, replaced a radiator support and used it to cut about 30 spot welds, the guide tip wears out pretty quick but they give you a replacement, the actual cutter blades last a long time, i only used one blade using both sides to do the 30 spot welds. Instead of using a center punch as a guide for the guide bit i drilled the center of each spot weld and this prevented any walking of the cutter. Center punching only would still let the bit jump around sometimes.
