I had a knee replacement and my physical therapist used this on me daily, so when PT ended I bought one for home. Excellent product.

After using a competitor's bands I find the padding in the SPRI bands to be thin and less comfortable. However, the SPRI bands provided Prime shipping where the competitor was going to charge $8.00 regardless of my Prime membership. I will use these until they eventually break (which they all do after several months), but afterwards I may have to pick my poison between less comfort or more cost.

The SPRI Xercuff Leg Resistance Band has become an indispensable tool in my warm-up routine for squats and deadlifts. The non-slip padded ankle cuffs provide a secure and comfortable fit, allowing me to focus on my movements without worrying about slippage. This resistance band has not only improved my overall performance but has also helped me address hip and knee issues. By incorporating targeted resistance exercises, it has significantly strengthened and stabilized these areas, reducing discomfort and improving my range of motion. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned lifter, the SPRI Xercuff Leg Resistance Band is a game-changer for warming up and enhancing your lower body workouts.

Fantastic for leg work outs and pilates stretches. Fit’s comfortably around ankles. The velcro allows for making it as tight or loose as needed. I’m pleased with this purchase!

I bought the red one originally, but found I could up the level of difficulty so I opted for the blue one and I don’t find it too hard , it’s just perfect yet still carries challenge! If you’re pretty active and challenge yourself regularly with exercise- this is perfect. I did jumping jacks with this, walking squats , and wide leg squat jumps with a weighted vest , and the band withheld great ! If you’re looking for a challenge and often challenge your self past your comfort zones - this is perfect !

I am 42 year old man (175lbs, 78kg) and this was the 3rd time my knee was operated (skiing, judo, football) and I have broken pretty much everything in my knee in the past.I do leg extensions (main muscle worked > quadriceps) with these and my surgeon said this a really exercise for me. If there is significant pain in your knee then avoid leg extensions (from sitting position) and do the movement sideways (you can attach the band to a furniture and do the movement sideways, which stresses your knee less as you are keeping it straight).Started to use a red band 4 weeks after my MCL, LCL, ACL knee surgery. The surgery was not the most demanding and I was able to start weight bearing quickly after the surgery and 3 weeks post surgery I was cycling 10-20km per day. These products are quality and comfortable to use. Red resistance band provides moderate resistance for post surgery exercises. 6 weeks from operation I switched to blue resistance band. Due to having done all kinds of sports (cycling, running, football, skiing) I have strong leg muscles.Since the price is affordable, I would recommend buying two different resistance levels, light one to start off and then a bit heavier one.Obviously the colors you choose should be selected according to your current strength level. Other reviewers have complained that the blue band is too demanding (probably is too soon after surgery) and someone that it is too light (but he has a background in exercising at the gym). One should keep in mind that these are great for post op, or taking with you when you have no gym equipment available (traveling).Six weeks post operation I can do over 100 repetitions with the blue band so it is definitely not too hard once your recovery is well under way and if you have strong quads.

I started using Xercuffs a couple years ago when I was going through rehab for a sprained knee. The therapist strapped one of these around my ankles and had me do a side shuffle and a kick knee walk. I was blown away at how much of a burn it produced in the back side and upper hip flexors. She laughed because, she said most people hated this exercise because it really caused such fatigue. I loved it so much I had them order a couple bands for me. I bought this one here on Amazon because I wanted a little stronger resistance.I use Xercuffs avidly. They are wonderful for training the butt and they are great for overall hip, knee, and ankle strength. Also, with a little imagination they can easily be incorporated into a cardio type circuit. I will warn you that the first time you use this, you will be extremely surprised at how much of a burn you get and you may be a little sore the next day...not sore like an injury...sore like you got a workout. Even people who do leg strength training exercises regularly will be surprised at what this little band can do.One other thing you should know is that this band is designed for a specific purpose and that is to be worn around the ankles. It is not like a lot of other Spri products which have a lot of different functionalities. But that being said, this is a great tool for strengthening and stabilizing the joints of the lower body and toning up the backside. I believe spri.com has some videos on some exercise ideas for this band but be advised, it does not come with any written instructions. This particular band may be a bit too strong for beginners and most women. For women I would probably recommend the red or even green Xercuff also available right here on Amazon. The last thing I want to mention pertains to durability. I have dozens of Spri bands. I have had most for nearly a decade. In that time I have broken only one (and that was probably because I over-stretched it for a couple years). So, you will get a lot out of this product. I highly recommend it.
