This is a great product. I have been using it continually for the past two months with no problems. It remains plugged in 24 hrs a day and we just keep refilling it as needed. We have hard well water and have not had any problems with scale or scum. The only thing I don't like is the plastic window in front that indicates the water level. I don't need that and don't like hot water touching plastic. If they produce one without it I will be purchasing it to replace this one.UPDATE I purchased this pot on July 29, 2014 and it is now August 25, 2016. The pot has been plugged in continually and used daily since arriving. There is still no scale forming. There is a tiny bit of rust stain around a screw in the lid. The auto pour button is getting a bit touchy and seems to lose a little power if not pushed just right. I'm still loving this pot.UPDATE: It is Dec. 10 2016 and the auto pump has quit working completely. Pushing the manual pump is ok for a cup but not for an entire tea pot. It gets painful for arthritic hands and fingers. Not sure if I'll buy another one of these or go with and electric kettle that detaches from a base.

I couldn't be more pleased with this dispenser. I always have hot water available for a cup of tea, soup or whatever else I might want hot water for. It takes a little while to heat up, but once it boils the warming function keeps the water around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. It is very attractive on my kitchen counter too. Very Pleased!Purchased in 2013 and now 2020, I had to say goodbye even though it still heats water. I was refilling and noticed some white stuff poking through the holes in the removable stainless plate in the lid. After removing the screws, I found that the plastic piece in the dispensing lid had burned and disintegrated. My fault, as I have let it run out of water a couple times and it doesn't have an auto shut off function. It was a long lasting device though!

I spent a lot of time researching hot water units, as I wanted a smaller unit that consumes less energy. This unit uses only 750w maximum and appears to use much less keeping the water warm. I've used it for over a month now and have been enjoying it very much. It promptly heats up the water and the manual pump option is helpful for dispensing just the right amount of water. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Pros:I'm too impatient to wait for an electric kettle to boil water - I want my hot water NOW. In that regard, this hot water dispenser is perfect for me. It always has hot water ready at my disposal. The water tank is big enough so I don't have to constantly refill it every day.Cons:The inside of the pot (where the water is stored) starts to show rust spots, so if that bothers you, this is not the product that you should buy.The sticker covering the control buttons started to come off so I have to constantly press it back into placeThe default setting is Lock, so you always have to press Unlock to dispense water. Extra button pushing is not fun.

when I received this product, I was shocked by the color of it because that color makes it like the second-handed one. However, fortunately this item shows its good working effientcy to me. It worths to pay this price.

The dispenser works well. I use it all day long and it keeps the water hot. I think the lock and unlock feature is redundant, but it is a safety feature. I would recommend this to tea drinkers as it keeps the water hot enough to brew a delicious cup of tea.
