These squat wedges are designed very well. Even on a slick wood floor that the kids can slide on in socks, these wedges did not budge. 5 stars right there. You want stability and these don't move.They are built to hold weight (body weight plus dumbbells) as in 1200 pounds. I guess foam wedges are sold and that would be a recipe for disaster. These wedges are propylene and hard. They are light enough to put on a shelf and get out but sturdier enough for the task at hand which is to lift the heels in a weighted squat so that the tailbone can extend properly. Getting the load in the body is key for heavy lifting even for a beginner doing 30 pounds. You can step on them just barely for a 1" lift or higher for a 2" lift.Last there is raised tread on the wedges, so you don't "go downhill" and stay put. When I store them, I put them as a rectangle to take up less room. Overall, I absolutely feel safe and secure on them and recommend them.

I am 60+ female and try to make exercise a priority and workout 3-5 days a week. I have several pieces of equipment to assist in reaching my goals and saw these wedge blocks and felt this was a great choice. I was originally looking at a wedge board but find that blocks provide more versatility than the board. First, having two separate blocks allows you to position the blocks forward or angle them outwards as the one board has its’ limitations. These blocks are made of a sturdy plastic and the base of the units hold the floor firmly. They are portable and they even provide a carry bag. I feel that this is a small investment in my health so if you prioritize your health this would be a great product to add to your lineup of equipment.
