Installing these is dangerous and can be difficult when you reach the end of winding them. The next time, I'm calling a professional. They work, but they didn't last very long. But they are cheap.

DIY garage door repair saved me a lot of $$$$ Easy to install, just be careful and follow instructions. I watched a few YouTube videos and that helped out a lot.

Included all the parts i needed, except for a new cable, (the reason the spring broke), After lots of videos and talking to a few "professional homeowners", I felt comfortable to replace this broken spring. Go slow, becareful, read the notes on your orginal installation. These notes will point what exact size you need as well as the number of turns. I replaced both sides, decided the other was close behind, and it took about 3 hours all in. Over-all, did the job well and hope to hold-up in the long run.

good quality replacements at a great price. Go slow and follow you tube instructions found on the web and the install will go well. A little tricky. Just be careful when tensioning up.

Very happy with these. Saved me a ton of time and money with a garage door company. YES, it can be slightly dangerous so make sure you watch a few videos on how to do this safely. Ultimately the springs seem to be of high quality and I couldn't be happier. Make sure you also switch out your bearing end plates and center bearing.....you don't want either of those to fail and you have to take the whole thing apart again.

I purchased these springs to repair our broken garage door. The springs seem well made, but of course, only time will tell. Install is fairly simple for the DIYer with moderate skills. I did the project alone but I recommend a helper for safety and convenience. The springs fit perfectly and our garage door works exactly as it should. All for less than $60 and about an hour and 15 minutes time.

The springs worked well with no complaints. I wanted to add a note that the job is tricky. When you are twisting the springs to tension them its feels a bit sketchy but it does actually take approx 7 1/2 full turns. Also, I found out the hard way the if you don't have enough tension on the springs that they go slack when the door is all the way up. This is a problem because it takes the tension off the cables that raise the door which then allows the cables to come off the spool and tangle.To summarize - its a doable job (after watching YouTube instruction videos) but watch the tension on the cables and it does actually take approx 7 1/2 full turns.

Good strong springs. The expedited shipping takes a week to come which is longer than most would like but it came as promised. It worked well for a standard size garage two car garage door.
