The piece is fairly heavy duty. The problem is the side walls of the brass is too thin. When I tightened up the screws witha screwdriver the brass piece split into on the side. I suppose if you don't tighten too much they will work.

I used this in a junction box to connect 6 awg wire. It worked great and seemed very secure.

These look good for power feed, splicing in junction boxes, and various connections.Stranded Copper #4 AWG THHN easily fits into the terminals.The individual terminals can be removed if needed for other purposes too.There are 2 mounting holes that will accommodate sheetrock or self-tapping screws for mounting to various surfaces.

I had an existing terminal block on an electric fire place that was defective from the factory. it nearly started a fire. I did a little research and found this. Solid connection to the wires and solved the problem permanently. Quality construction.
