Full disclosure, I didn't review this product. Dodge, the cat did. She can be picky, but she was feeling a new box. Something with some style. Spinning rims, and flashy lights. Well... She got a new shiny litter box (That's bling, right??), and a laser pointer that's for me, but she swears it's hers. Now, about this box, though. First off, it's huge. Bare in mind the amount of litter that will be needed to be substantial, for your cat's utilization. That's a lot, for this box, compare to the more or less standard sizes one might find at a local store (Not a word, Texas...). The higher walls of this box may prove to be a good thing, for some cats; particularly tall varieties, but Dodge is not tall. I have removed the side walls. This is one of those items that it's a good thing if an animal p00ps a lot in it, and even better that the main walls are of adequate height that the litter stays in the box, without issue. The box itself is lightweight, and given that it's metal, easy to clean, when scooping is either not enough, or not your thing. This has proven to be a pleasant upgrade to Dodge's assets. She recommends it, over and over again. ...daily.

Love, love, LOVE this litter box! I was looking for something that wouldn't trap odors badly and cleans easier, if you are too then this is for you! My kitties also have a habit of dragging anything on the floor into the litter box, this litter box has stopped that! I will likely be buying another!

Work great for our year 18 months old male who thinks he must dig and fling the litter. Easy to clean and he took to it right away

I was using plastic litter boxes for my cats and struggling to scoop them. The poo would stick to the bottom like mortar and took a lot of effort to scoop it off. First time scooping this litter box was a breeze. Absolutely NOTHING stuck to the bottom! It was very easy to clean. My lower back is most grateful. LOL

We have 2 cats that seem to think the litter needs thrown on the floor. This box with the high sides has stopped that and most of the tracking out. Easy to clean. Love it

When I saw this litter box, I thought it would be perfect for my cats and boy was I correct. I have 15 cats and use the typical smaller plastic ones that you find at Walmart, but also have a plastic one with a top and automatic one that I bought off of here. Of all the litter boxes (6), this one is definitely the best at keeping the litter inside of the box. Because it taller and more enclosed, minimal litter get outside of the box and on my hardwood floor. My cats tend to go crazy when they are digging in the litter, so this box couldn't be more perfect. The cats love to wipe their paws all over the box to clean the extra litter off before they get out the box, so the additional grate like area where they can wipe their paws and the litter fall through is great. However, no litter box is perfect, so some litter still gets out of it, but no where near the amount that I have to deal with my other litter boxes. The box also being aluminum is wayyyyy better than dealing with the plastic boxes that take the brunt of the cats' nails (so leave scratches/cuts that take and collect residue). It is easier to scoop out clumping litter that collects at the bottom and to clean the box. This box doesn't develop scratches like the plastic ones. It remains smooth and easy to wipe clean.Because the litter still comes out, I would rate 4.8 but since you can only rate 1-5 stars then I will give it 5 stars because it definitely makes my life better. Also, the included litter scoop is amazing! It has two hole sizes for bigger litter at bottom and smaller at the top and a nice scoop like section at the bottom near the handle to hold all the litter steady while you bag it.A must purchase!

I have 2 male cats that both pee high. This is exactly what I need. The walls are high and catch their pee, I am no longer cleaning walls. Also way easier to clean than the plastic bin I had previously.

I have 3 cats, one of whom is a Maine Coon. They are all very enthusiastic diggers. I keep experimenting with litter boxes to help contain the litter. One litter box is a large plastic one with a cover. I don’t think the Maine Coon uses that one much, despite the big opening. I have another open, plastic litter box that rises up from the sides and back…they still manage to shoot litter everywhere out the sides and front. I also have another “XXL” stainless litter box that also has a riser on 3 sides, but the entire front is open. This XL one is practically the same size as the XXL one (it’s a bit wider and a bit shorter). I like that the entry on this box is slightly to the side, to discourage flying litter out a completely-open front. I also like the high rise edge around the perimeter. It was very well packaged with a box inside a box. (No dents.) It also comes with a few litter pan liners that look a bit flimsy to me. This litter box also comes with a very neat anti-tracker pad. It appears that the litter falls thru the openings and then you can lift it up and dump the trapped litter. (The pad is sewn on three sides.) Finally, it comes with a plastic scoop that fits into one of the “holsters” in the back. I’m not fond of plastic scoops, and on this one, the bars seem a little too far apart. Also, where I plan to put it would mean the scoop would be inconveniently hard to reach. All-in-all, this is probably my favorite litter box. It’s big. It is very sturdy and the tall guard wall clips on securely. It is easy to clean. It isn’t covered (more enticing to my Maine Coon,), yet it has scatter protection on 3.5 sides. My biggest concern is whether to use my metal scooper (and possibly scratch the stainless) or use the thicker liners available elsewhere.
