I replaced an old worn out wire type cheese cutter that I had for years. This item just doesn't work very well.

This looks like it might be a nice item if I could use it. But the item’s handle was broken off cleanly from the blade so it’s pretty much useless. A good idea might have been having the handle/blade assembly separate from the base and the end user could simply attach it to the base with the two screws.
