Arrived fast, fit my cheese slicer well. I’m not to sure of the quality, first one broke the first time I used it to slice cheese. That’s the reason for the 3 star rating. Glad it came with 2, so far the second wire is still intact. It was a cheap way to fix my broken cheese slicer.

My Bellemain cheese slicer is an everyday kitchen essential. I’ve had the slicer over two years, but I was not happy when the cutting wire broke. Amazon’s illustration for the cheese cutter shows a spare cutting wire, but after two years it was nowhere to be found. Happily, it turns out that a replacement wire is inexpensive and easy to install. The replacement package has two wires in the pack, so you should be good to go for years, as long as you don’t lose the second wire.Installing the wire was quick and easy, but here are a couple of hints:Make sure to bend both sides before you try to put insert the replacement. Bend the wires as close to the metal end piece as possible. Insert both ends of the wire (and metal end piece) as far into the unit as possible before you tighten the screws.That’s all you need to know. Good luck and happy slicing!

Arrived in a simple 3 x 5 envelope. Post office did their best to spin, fold and mutilate the envelope, but thanks to a small sticker inside holding the wires fast to the envelope, they did not succeed in loosing the wires.

Anyone who has bought wire cheese slicers know that the wire breaks within months or maybe a year. Learning that this company sells replacement wires for just a few dollars is great. I will actually look to buy other products from Bellemain.

After years of use the wire on our cheese slicer finally broke. Had to attach the one end loosely to get the other side on but was a perfect fit. Still working great after two months use.

I ordered this to replace a broke wire on my Bellemain Adjustable Thickness Cheese Slicer. When I first opened the package, I was concerned that it wasn't the right replacement. The wire "seemed" to short. I slid the one rectangular prism sideways into the square hole and the long piece fit just right. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to stretch the wire and to get the other rectangular prism to go into the other side. I needed a third hand to complete the task, so I had a family member use the tip of a screwdriver to push the piece into the square hole while I kept it taut. It fit perfectly and makes my cheese slicer functional again! Highly recommend (and encourage you to work with a buddy and some tools to install:)

Fit well, cuts great, just like the original. In order to set it, bend the wire 90° right at the top of the set pieces on the ends, so that they go straight into the cutter; you won't be able to bend the wire with one end in place.

Works great, this is my favorite type of cheese cutter, but the blades do break on occasion. 4 stars because it should last longer but still like em. Ships quick and seller does a great job getting me the product.
