Pros: lightweight, foldable, minimalisticCons: bad handle, flimsyFor those who want to be as light as possible this isn’t a bad choice, however since it’s so light and thin it’s is tough to dig in all but the softest ground. Some reviews say they cut themselves digging with this and so did I. This is due to the bad handle and the lack of weight of the trowel which mean you have to exert more pressure. Ease of use and injury prevention are some of the most important things for campers/backpackers.This is fine in a pinch but I will be buying a different, more sturdy trowel for my camping needs. I can’t recommend this product unfortunately but I suppose you get what you pay for.My recommendation: spend a little more on a sturdier, more reliable hand trowel for your outdoorsy needs

Good little trowel I purchased for backpacking trips. Its light & sturdy & comes with a handy dandy case...but I agree with a couple other reviewers who said its sharp & possibly dangerous & the handle does take some strength to get it in & out of its designated spot. Over all, it'll do the job but these two things might be worth considering before purchase.

Trowel as indicated as light and small but requires deburring of all of the stamped edges. Product as shipped can cause lacerations to extremities during unfolding or use. I filed the edges and sanded all surfaces to render it safe.

The edges are a bit sharp so definitely be careful. It is sturdy and relatively lightweight.

I liked the price and quick delivery. This tool is used by our water meter readers to quickly remove dirt from a meter box when they walk their routes.

I bought this in hopes to never have to use it to dig a "cat hole" in a bug out (get home) situation. It fits the bill perfectly, making a nice stiff digging tool.

Sharp edges, flimsy handle, flimsy case. At 7 dollars I wasn't expecting much, but this is just junk.

Comes with a light weight belt loop carrying case. The shovel is sturdy and light weight. Made of stainless steal can also be used to move hot coals. I recommend this cat trowel for backpacking.
