Shipping box was sufficient. Lots of people complaining about minor damage from shipping but this thing is super heavy duty. Not sure what they expect. The box isn’t stronger than heavy stainless steel metal, so minor dings may occur. Mine arrived with no damage. Well packed. It fit perfectly on my Blackstone. No more rust! No more fighting with cast iron. Worth every penny!

Top looks well built when you take it out of the box, but given time it starts to rust. The whole reason I purchased this top, was to not have to oil my griddle every time when I was finished using it. Buyer beware. Don't make the same mistake I did if this is your reason for the purchase.

Cooking on a stainless griddle is a much better experience. A bit pricey, but worth it for me. No worries about rust or having to re-season every year. Takes a bit longer to heat up and may not get as exactly as hot as the cast iron, but definitely does the job. Burgers & Hibachi have turned out better than on the cast iron top and I don't have to worry about putting oil on the surface before storage. It seems like the packaging has been improved since the earlier complaints about it arriving broken. No snaps or cracks or bad welds that I've seen so far.

This is exactly what I was looking for, well almost. I had a welder add a V stainless piece (angle stainless) to the front of the grill for the grease and crud trough. I also had him seal up the ridiculous drain hole at the back. You will get this little shoot thingy that supposedly clips somehow to the grill top to drain the junk toward a bucket or whatever you use to catch the crud. The heat seems to disperse evenly. It takes this A LOT less time to get hot than a Blackstone rolled iron top. You will have to experiment with how much heat. Start low. I must pick up a laser thermometer to gauge how hot the stainless steel top is. By dumping ice on the hot griddle top, then chasing it with water, vinegar, or industrial/professional strength griddle top cleaner, you can quickly get it clean. Invest in a grill squeegee (rated for very high temps) to be the last pass toward cleanliness. I hope the grill top designer will listen to what I say and modify future designs accordingly. Bottomline: this is the best griddle top I've found. It fits my 36-inch Blackstone perfectly. But with just a few tweaks, it could be over the top amazing.

Heats up quick and cleans up to as new condition. Cooked bacon and fried eggs first day. Pancakes day 2 and then smash burgers at night. Thick aluminum did not warp and fried eggs did not stick. Cleaned up to as new look. Oiled and ready to cook next weekend.

So far this top is everything that i had hoped it would be. Far superior to the original top, much easier to keep clean, and no seasoning it every time i want to use it.

I recently was diagnosed with high levels of iron in my blood. I love cooking on my blackstone griddle, but that's cast iron and can introduce iron into your body, so I purchased this item. I'd read various reviews about it's quality and I wanted to chime in with my thoughts.Last night I cleaned the top and then seasoned the stainless top much like you would a standard cast iron griddle. One thing I noticed within about 5 minutes of starting my griddle on low was that I was hearing several pinging noises that I can only assume were welds letting go between the V shaped supports and the cook top. Across the 45 minutes or so that I had the griddle seasoning I heard 5-6 of these. I never took the cook top beyond 500 f and when I was done the cook top seemed to be seasoned with no issues beyond the 5-6 pings. I never took the griddle beyond medium heat as it seems that with the thinner metal that the burners go farther, heatwise. The next morning I went ahead and cooked some diced chicken that I like to cook for the dogs. Nothing abnormal, no pings, but at the end of the cook I noticed that the entire cooktop was no longer level. The back right side where the grease trap is, is now raised maybe 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch. Again I never took the griddle heat higher than medium / low because it was diced chicken.I wish the stainless cook top was a bit thicker and that the welds were of better quality. I think I can work with this cooktop though. I'll just going to try and deal with the slight warping and if push comes to shove I think I might be able to do my own welds to strengthen the cooktop.
