Isn't actually compatible with a kitchen-aid fga food grinder. The retention ring won't go on securly after installling... scam-azon got me again.

These did fit on my grinding equipment and I didn't even know which kind of grinder attachment I had when I ordered these. So I got lucky I guess! Very happy with fit and function.

These sausage stuffers are a perfect fit for my older KitchenAid model Professional 6 meat grinder attachment. The meat grinder box reads FGA and the top of the grinder attachment reads FGA-2. I somehow missed the "s" in tubes so was just tickled when I realized that both sizes arrived. They're well made and I very much look forward to giving them a workout in a few weeks. This accessory adds one more reason to really value and get your money's worth out of your KitchenAid mixer. It allows you to make sausage, flavored just how you want, and all without having to purchase another appliance - takes up virtually no room. It comes with the tubes for both 1/2" and .93" sausage - holding up to 2'-3' of casing it allows you to produce sausage links to your precise specs. Goes on easily - just fits under that front screw that holds your grinder blades in place...snug it down - not too tight and you're ready to go. Good value and very useful.

One of my favorite things to do after deer hunting is turning my harvest into a very high quality product. I sometimes have a hard time with pulling the trigger anymore but I want to make sure I never waste the meat from the time I butcher to the time it is ready to eat. My favorite thing to do is make jerky, meat sticks, and summer sausage. I have one of those really nice sausage stuffers from Cabelas but it is just such a pill to clean and more importantly it is a two person job since someone has to load the mix and the other has to keep the sausage casing ready to go on the end. With this adapter I can do it all solo. I only have one device to clean, the kitchenaid mixer and grinder. I can do one pass with the biggest holes to grind the meat, then swap to this wide open blade and not have to worry about my cheese and jalapenos getting ground up when I turn the mixture in to venison jalapeno and cheese summer sausage. I had one of these attachments on another $40 wally world grinders but it didn't have the power of my kitchenaid. I highly recommend this attachment if you don't want to destroy your misc ingredients in summer sausage as well as want something that you can handle by yourself. The only con of this device was it came with a little bit of oil from the factory so you want to wash it first but you should do that anyways when it comes to food prep devices.
