. . . this thing is full size! The handle alone is almost 5 in. and willeasily hold 3/4+ chisel or punch! The piece on the end of the shaft willalso hold the smaller sizes. I got this with the Stanley 418299 Punchand Chisel Set and they all fit perfect. So, bye-bye smashed fingersor tools flying off because you didn't hit it square. With this you cangive things a good wallop and get it right the first time. I'm happy!

I've used these quite a bit at work, and decided to buy my own for home. Its an indispensable tool if you have a punch/chisel set, makes holding and lining up the chisel/punch much easier and it grips them well unlike some of the other ones I've used. Really comes in handy in tight spots like working under the car or in the engine bay where you have to drive out a stubborn bolt or sleeve where its impractical/risky to get your hands in the way of where you need to hammer.

As with most all Stanley tools this is well made and well priced, I bought this for one of my service technicians who didn't know they even existed, in my previous career I spent 25 years as a professional mechanic so I've had my own punch holder in my personal toolbox for decades. One day after seeing my technician's shredded knuckles I said "You know there's a tool for that right?..." There is definitely less screaming in the shop now...
