The push button product arrived quickly and was in good condition. Latching mechanism was crisp and certain, feels solid and haven't had any faults with it or the switch generally. Pre-wiring was done well, easy to install, metal lock-nut secures the switch well and I haven't had any issues with it. I've ordered this item a few times and no problems ever. Great buy for your DIY projects.

I tested operation of each of these switches on a multimeter (pictured) and they performed well. Switch action is smooth and they latch reliably however there is no audible or tactile feedback so it sounds and feels like they aren’t working. However if you look closely you can see that the button remains slightly depressed when on and pops out slightly when off.The switches are very lightweight and the bodies seem to be plastic but when I place a finger on them I can feel the heat conducting away, demonstrating that the switch body is aluminum as listed. The push button and back end are plastic.There is an O ring just behind the switch face so if mounted in a panel and assuming the push button is sealed they may in fact meet the listed IP65 rating (resistant to low pressure water jets from any direction) from the front however there are small holes in the plastic switch back so I wouldn’t assume they are IP65 rated from the back, behind a panel. The electrical terminals are heat shrink sealed.The listing specification indicates 2A max, meaning in a nominal 12V system nothing pulling more than 24 watts should be controlled by this switch. The listing suggests the switch can be used to control headlights but even a conventional set of headlamps is likely to draw over 100 watts so that is misleading and potentially dangerous if the circuit isn’t fused properly. There are no markings on the switch warning of this low amperage limit. The switches didn’t come with any documentation either. These are the reasons I removed one star from the rating.I’m going to use the switches on my boat to control small LED light bars, in hanging lockers, which draw less than one amp at 12V. The switches will be mounted on small panels I’ll fabricate from engraving stock providing an unobtrusive, almost flush installation which should work well.

Adding these into my permanent convertible truck and we're fixing to see just how Waterproof these are!First of all, these switches look great. There are a lot of high-end street rod and custom car companies selling very similar switches at MUCH higher prices. Yes, some of them have lights or engraving or other features, but if you're just looking for a nice silver toggle button. these fit the bill and are CHEAP comparatively and have the look. Actually after looking again, I see STARELO offers an LED switch as well for a few dollars more.So far I've done some bench-testing to see if they would hold up at all and they have done absolutely great. Through every test short of submersion, they have passed, so I'm hoping that will last as they go in my truck. I will update my review if anything goes wrong, but as of right now, I'm very happy with these!

You pay for quality...and these have quality all over. The body is aluminum and the mounting nut spins ever so easily on it. Unlike the plastic ones whose nut feels like it is going to strip at any time. It has a rubber o-ring on the mount base (I assume making it IP65 waterproof - at least the surface for sure). The button has a nice smooth operation. When pressed in it sits perfectly flush with the top. Easy to unlatch it is a well. Wires are presoldered on making assembly easier in most cases.If you need a quality latching push button, waterproof as a bonus, this is definitely a nice quality switch that I have no problems recommending. If you are complaining about the price...then you don't really want a quality switch.
