Just do yourself the favor and buy a gamma or alpha clamp. This clamp slipped the first time I tried to pull a main using it. Useless knockoff garbage.

I have found this to work very well holding tension when pulling up to 55 lbs. Seems to grip nicely without damaging the string. Good value for the money.

Well worth the price. Does the job. I use it to start every string job, and as an extension when I'm a tad short on the final pull.

works as advertised and much cheaper than the red one sold by a different manufacturer. takes longer to arrive because i think it ships from china, but if you're not in a hurry ...
