This remote start seems to work as well as oem. No complaints so far, it's a solid built product.

Installed this in a 2010 RAV4 base model. Easy to install and works like it should. It helped to find and watch an installation video beforehand .

It was challenging to to install. You have to read the directions a few times. Worth the money. Best birthday gift ever. It works great in the cold and in the heat. Remote start is a godsend. Well built. Love this!

Easy to set up and program. Could have had better installation instructions as it is a model specific unit.

The reviews weren't lying! This is by far the most simple remote start installation you'll ever do. Anyone can install! Biggest issue was finding a point to install the ground on as its eyelet is smaller than necessary. But if you're having trouble there's a ground screw pretty much where your left knee would be directly behind the panel. Having an extra 10mm nut on hand helps. Also the instructions want you to remove two screws on the steering column shroud but there are no screws that needed to be removed as the top and bottom halves of the shroud just clip together. 2012 Toyota Rav4 with "G Key" (standard turn key, not push button). Well worthwhile purchase!

the kit was easy to install and was working very well for atleast 6 months till my car started doing wierd flickers on the dash and i had no idea that the remote start was the problem took my about a month to figure out testing everything i don't recommend if you wanna buy a new battery for your car and possibly a new alternator and get left stranded on the side if the road like me.

If you are mechanically savvy, it took me 23 mins for a clean install. Programming was easy (follow instructions that is provided). Great value and I have not had issues with the car battery dying like some claim. My vehicle does not have an additional aftermarket amp system for my radio, so other than the aftermarket radio, it is stock. I would definitely recommend this product. Make sure you identify whether you have a key or push button starter

TPMS Connection cable was missing which is important for proper setup and useability.Lot of grief in returning and waiting as we were looking to hook it up for winters.

I've installed the typical non-plug and play remotes in the past, so I was eager to try this Plug & Play for our 2013 Corolla. Night and Day difference. Need to remove bottom of steering column panel (snaps only for '13 corolla) and panel below that one (by knees). That one had 2 screws and couple of snaps. There is a single ground wire, with washer type connector to attach under a bolt or nut (plenty to choose from under there). That is it - everything else is the simple T harnesses in the kit (one to T into ignition and one T that replaces the OBD connector). There's one more voluntary connection, which is a safety hood pin, which prevents starting if hood is open (in case someone is working on engine and someone else accidentally starts car). The kit is packaged with the switch and wire. I haven't done this yet but stuck the supplied warning sticker on the engine. Total install time was 20-25 minutes, which included the simple setup steps ("programming"), which is just a couple of simple steps to do with the unit and car keys (no computer needed or any app). Lastly, emailed Start-X with some upgrade questions and they responded in an hour!
