The installation is very easy, no need to cut the lines, but I was stuck on the programming part. I contacted the service department who unfortunately didn't give me any solution.I tried to start the car remotely, it started for a few seconds and then stopped by itself. So I return it

The kit is well organized and was easy to install in my vehicle, programming went alright, but after trying to start my vehicle, it would not remote start even though the module was receiving and acknowledging the command. Contacted the support listed in the manual, they got back to me in 3 days, after back and forth lasting over 1 1/2 weeks with 2 days between each response from support, they were stunned the module was not working and offered to send me an additional kit to try and resolve the issue. After providing my shipping address to them, they have ghosted me for over 2 weeks, and have not responded to any additional follow up emails. I find this highly unacceptable and frankly quite rude, I will be returning this starter and looking for a different brand to use in my vehicle.

This is a great product. I did not realize that it was this easy to install. Works great! This product saves you lots of money from paying someone to install versus you installing yourself. If you have never done this, you can have everything done within 30 minutes and save a few hundred dollars.

I remember several years ago i had to install remote starter in one of my car and it took two days as I have to find the right wire, splice and solder, those days are gone with this type of plug and play wirings, literally it took 10 mins to remove wire socket attached the provided T sockets and you are done, watch the youtube videos to see where to find the sockets for your car and how to open trim and get to steering column and car’s BCM, programming was super easy as it took 5 mins, you gotta follow the steps right, thats all, i had to call them to ask the type of the box as I wanted to add ON the phone control module, i left my number for call back and got the call back in 20 mins and got all the information that i needed, so awesome, never thought that remote starter installation could be that easy, thank you remote X.

Installed on a versa hb 2012, installed by myself, pulled out glove box to reach BCM , pulled out radio to put the startx box behind the radio, programming was pretty straight forward, after finishing had to run an airbag reset as airbag light was blinking, at the end it works like a charm.

Instructions are not great, but with a little work, it can be installed. Took me 2 1/2 hours.Unfortunately the programming would not complete. The vehicle would start using the key fob and then shut off after a few seconds, then start again and shut off again. I emailed support and they took a day or two to repeat the directions included and did not solve the problem... I emailed them several times to no improvement. Finally returned the product. I will not recommend this company unless they will give their customers a phone number to call for tech support.

Installation was fairly straightforward using both the enclosed pamphlet and the online video. The only part I questioned was when the video was adamant that I was to use the white connector for a Sentra and that I was to use the black connector for a Versa or Cube, while the pamphlet said that for the Versa Note I had to use the white connector. I went with the pamphlet, used the white connector and it worked! After that, it was easy to program and is working great!

Installed it on a 2016 Nissan Micra SR with Standard Key - Works Great - Use White 3x Lock T-Harness (Sentra, Vera Note) ... Programming is pretty straight forward ... Install Time was Approximately 1.5 Hours , took longer to get the dash apart than the actual install and programming...

Start x for nissans. Sentra , versa, cube, and versa note. MUST HAVE A KEY, NO PUSH BUTTON START,to use this item. Installed in a 2010 nissan versa hatchback even though the instructions work with 2012 and upto 2019. Gave it a try and after figuring out which t harness to use, there is a black one and a white one, process of elimination pluging each into the BCM got it to work. There are no wires to splice, the directions suck though. Programming portion of the lock and unlock fob was straight forward with the directions. The installation portions of the directions are worthless and the utube videos are not good either. You have to have some mechanical ability to install this , like fishing the harnesses and figuring where to ground the wire to the frame. Took me about 2.5 hrs of trial and error and it works well. 3 clicks on the lock button Fires the old versa right up. 3 clicks shuts it down. Key still works too old fashioned way. You must put the key on "on" after remotely starting it and not touch the brake before doing that if not it will shut down. The hardest part was removing the pin connections on the BCM and steering wheel, use a small flat screw driver to help. Installation from a store would have cost me 3x as much. 200 bux can't be beat and a little patience will get you going. Hope it lasts without problems for awhile. Good work start x!

These are great remote starters, so far I bought four of them for different vehicles. I’ll be honest I wish there was a video tutorial how to install one on a Nissan Micra but I figured it out in the end. Works like a charm.

I am very tech unsavy and was able to get this installed into a 2018 Sentra. The most frustrating part was taking off the dash and positioning myself to see where the board was on the car which are not problems which are manufacturer issues and not StartX.The video walks you through installation but you must refer to the manual for programming. I think the car shown in the video is a Versa. Only installation difference was one additional star bit in my Sentra for the dash but the other required tools were a 10 mm bolt and screwdriver. Had no issues programming and both my factory Nissan fobs worked on the first try so no additional programming was needed for the second fob.Additionally, I recently had a long distance Compustar starter professional installed; however, they were not able to use my factory fob. Did not have to take any additional steps to preserve usage of that. Both the Compustar and the StartX work together with no issue. Using the StartX for daily application while Compustar when I need more long distance range for like stadium events.Overall, great product and I would highly recommend.
