i have had boars rub up against this and not knock it down; it is sturdy and the extra peg for a solar battery is great!

I have two of these from another brand and didn't do anything rough installing it. Soil was firm clay but nothing unusual - I wasn't pounding it in with a sledge or anything. The actual installation went fine, but we had some moderate winds (25mph which you feel but isn't exactly "NWS high winds alert") and this just gave up the ghost. You can see from my photo that the "spike" that goes into the ground is fairly small compared to the area of the entire post/bracket, and is only attached with two small welds. It's just not strong enough to hold a 1/2lb camera and solar panel 3' up in a moderate breeze. (I hadn't even attached the solar panel yet!) It makes for a pretty long "lever" and attaching the ground spike several inches away with a few small welds just doesn't cut it.

I bought this last year and like using it, but I have since learned that a pressure treated 2x2 and provide the same results and is much cheaper.Downside of this product is that the screw threads are exposed and will begin to rust unless treated. So be careful of that. It is height adjustable, but only to a certain extent. I found myself wanting it to be taller in certain situations to get above weeds and such.Overall, pretty well made, easy to use, and works as described. It just isn't the best bang for the buck in my opinion.

If you have a stealth cam camera and solar panel this is an easy way to mount them together. Move them around in one neat package. I dont hunt but i use the camera to monitor the farm. See who is milling around the chicken coop (almost allways racoons) who is eating the blackberries to the ground (allways deer). I can move the camera to trouble spots and gather intel. Without the stand it is a clumsy apparatus.

Easy to camouflage given the color scheme and easy to assemble. Once I figured out how to make adjustments and tighten them I can now place trail cameras long my property boundary fence-line without being noticed or having the cameras stand out too much. So far they are sturdy and effective and easy to secure into the ground with the base plate.
