The mirror extends from 9.75-inches to 36.5-inches allowing you to easily perform inspections on HVAC systems and look around automotive engine compartments and undercarriages, or use it around the house to look behind bookcases, under beds, and other hard-to-see places. The magnetic retriever extends from 6.75-inches to 25-inches and has three interchangeable heads with a 3.5 lb. capacity, 8 lb. capacity, and an 8 lb. capacity atop an articulated arm so you can pick up small, easily dropped items like screws, nails, nuts, bolts, and other fasteners around the workshop and pins, keys, and other items around the house.

The weight of the large mirror overcomes the resistance to spin of the handle. The large mirror makes the handle spin within itself. With small mirror the telescoping handle works fine. Handle is not magnetic.
