Sound will suddenly got lost. Poor drivers poor microphone input and speaker output quality.

I traded my 2001 interface for this one and Surprisingly they Bolth Have the Same issue. If my phone is nearby (which it obviously will be) I get static from the Headphones. It also is very sensitive with its nobs when I make a slight adjustment it will drastically change the settings. It also will disconnect in apps making you reset it as main source. After everything it still dose its job

The Steinberg IXO22 has an excellent mic preamp with enough low-noise gain that it'll have no problems driving a mic like a Shure SM7B directly without something like a Cloudlifter.I love the fact that it as input mute buttons, as I use it all of the time instead of software mute. And the unit I got finished in white looks very nice!As for the negatives - there's only 1 phantom power button to cover both XLR inputs. Its either on for both, or off for both. You can't have it on one and not the other... there are use cases for such a setup.You can't control the balance of the mic monitor vs overall volume You have to increase gain on the mic which also increases mic output to the PC.There's no hardware control/configuration software. The only thing you get is the driver configurator to change sample rate and buffer size.Steinberg's software downloads for the included software like CubaseAI, is the most convoluted I've seen. It requires you to register, then install the Steinberg Download Assistant, the Steinberg Library Manager, and wade through a lot of pages and registration codes and activation codes to get all the software that is included. They really need to fix this setup, as I found it extremely cumbersome.Otherwise I find the quality of the input and output to be excellent with very high fidelity and no noise. I did initially have an issue with the previous driver where playback sounds seemed to drop off occasionally, yet it appears to be fixed with the latest drivers.I chose this unit for its small size, individual channel physical mute button, and high-quality low-noise mic preamp and AD/DA converters.I would recommend this system for those that:1. are already using Cubase or want to start using Cubase.2. want a compact unit with physical mute buttons3. want one of the best mic preamps with enough headroom and low noise for low output mics like SM7B.
