I have a full gym in my garage that contains 2 squat/weightlifting machines, dumbbell rack and a seated calf machine, so sadly I don't have room for a full-size treadmill! Luckily, this has been working out great. It has a small footprint so I can store it when not needed and pull it out quickly when I do. I like to use this in between sets so it is very much like circuit training: do a set for chest, then a minute of the stepper, a set for arms, a minute on stepper and so on. I get a workout and cardio at the same time. The electronics works so-so, but I don't really need that. It's heavy duty (I weigh 200 lbs.) and so far, it has been holding up.

I like the small footprint of this stepper. I was looking for something to exercise with at my standing desk and this does the trick. However, the electronics panel that comes with it seems to weird as a separate device that attaches to the stepper. I would expect that to be part of the unit itself to ensure accuracy. Other than that, it's a nice little device that can give you a good workout.

Simple in design, slid in construction, functional in use, all the marks alright. Definitely some weight to it so very sturdy when working out, yet still easy enough to move from one place to another. Getting harder workout than expected, especially in the knees, so more than meets the eyes. Should be great in winter when too cold for outside workout. But there are two shortcomings so 1 star off. 1) tracker display is way to small from standing position. Should have a selfie-like stick to pull up and put on, something easily done so I see this as a design flaw. 2) Only default/single level, no adjustment, making it hard to use in the beginning, and likely becoming over easy later on. Should have a slider to set tension strength, which could mean harder and costlier build, so I see this as a design limitation. But overall happy with this stepper.

We don't use the VERTEXFORCE Stepper religiously. For me it's mostly days when I can't get out and do something to get the blood pumping. It's quiet which makes it perfect for putting in front of the TV and stepping away for a while. After I'm finished it gets stashed in a closet so it's out of the way. The missus likes to use it on some of the days she doesn't go to yoga.I can't comment on the monitor that comes with the unit because I never bothered to put a battery in it. I use the stepper as long as I feel like it and don't care how long it was or how many calories I allegedly burned. I haven't tried the resistance bands that came with it, either.I'll give the VERTEXFORCE 5 stars because it's quiet, compact, light enough for most people to move around easily, and comes with resistance bands for those who want to use them while doing their workout.

These steppers work well. I'm 6'2" and 240 and they are solid and hold my weight well and offer some good resistance. The only issue is the little stick-on electronic screen that measures activity- it looks like an afterthought and I have to wonder how accurate it really is. That may be where the cost savings comes in for this. However, as step machine that does not take up much room, it's ok.

This review took awhile because right after receiving this item, I broke my toe. But now that I can use it I am excited. I have recovery process ahead of me that restricts what type of exercises I am able to do, and I am so glad I have this to mix in.This only takes one small AAA battery, and no power. So you can place it wherever. It's not the smallest thing, but way more convenient to store than a bike or a treadmill. I can place this in front of the tv or my standing desk and get a workout in.I wasn't able to try this for very long due to my injury, but I could feel the steps effect on my lower body. It does take a little getting used to the movement, but this will be easy to use without disrupting my work once i get the hang of it. Gotta fit in workouts while you can!

This stepper machine seems to be made very well with heavy metal parts for the base and under the footpads, making it really sturdy and structurally sound for people up to 350 pounds, so they say. It’s hefty, but it’s not too heavy for me to move it where I need it. Compared to the big stair machines at the gym, this stepper has a small footprint (just 13” x 17”) and takes up little floor space. The non-slip feet along with the weight of the stepper itself keep it from sliding around or rocking while being used.I’ve tried using it with shoes on and off, and it’s comfortable either way. The soft PVC on the footpads actually feel good on bare feet. I’m not used to using a stepper machine, so for me, this is quite a workout. It gets my heart beating and I can only use it for about 5 minutes at a time because my muscles aren’t used to it. I really feel it in my knees, calves, quads, hamstrings, and glutes. I actually wish there was a way to adjust the tension so I could make it easier to use while I’m a beginner, and then work up to a harder push. I’m not finding this to be a perfectly smooth glide either – it seems that there is a slight pause at the bottom of each stroke – maybe it’s because I’m new to this, or maybe it’s the way these hydraulic pumps work. This stepper is non-electric and makes no noise. There is a display monitor attached to the base between the footpads to show number of reps, time, and calories burned. I can’t really see it well while I’m using it because it is small and not lighted, but I can always look at it when I’m done to see my progress. I found it helpful to place the stepper next to another piece of exercise equipment that has handles, so I have something to hold onto for balance. If it came with an optional handle, that would have been ideal. The resistance bands were completely missing from my product, so I can’t comment on those. All in all, this is a quality piece of exercise equipment, though it still has room for improvement.
