These work great. I use these after leveling and crowning my frets to remove the resulting scratches, and to polish the frets on guitars that I just don't play that often. I recently purchased a lightly played used guitar and was able to remove any sign of play from the frets with just the fret erasers. I had a set of Japanese fret erasers before these, but their grit did not go as high as these. I like having the fine grit. I always tape my fretboard before using fret erasers or use a fretboard protector.

I've been playing for some 50yrs and never heard of this product. Bought a used guitar... I could feel grit when bending notes. Used these eraser/polishers... the grit is gone. Wonderful.

As per usual with StewMac I thought “wow that’s expensive, how do they justify this?” Well, no sandpaper has ever given me these results, no polishing pads, nothing. Right after a fret crowning, or even if you want to just tape off the neck and give your instrument a nice detail cleaning, these are awesome. I do hope they can be cleaned as they get FILTHY, but they barely wear doing 1 neck, so I imagine they will last a hobbyist guitar tech like myself a very long time. There are 7 different grits, and to get the best results you want to use each one, so it’s no short task but it yields much better results than sandpaper. If you are on the fence, and you like doing your own maintenance, you WILL notice a substantial improvement in playability after using these, it’s almost impossible not to.

I love how easy these are to use...and the gleaming frets simply put a smile on my face. Yeah these are quite expensive...but they will probably last me 10+ years...so imho totally worth the price.

Thus is the best and easiest way to polish your frets. No mess like when you use a liquid polish. Will buy again when these wear out. I have done one guitar and the erasers show no wear. Great product.
