You need this to properly torque you upper strut nut when installing lowering springs, or any strut work.It does the job perfectly, very sturdy and well made. A little pricey but just bite the bullet and get it.

My strut was making a weird clunking noise after a spring swap, so I started doing some research and found that my strut mount may not be tightened all the way to the strut. I had done a shoddy job tightening it because it was not really possible to get decent torque with the tools I had at the time. After this socket was delivered, I just popped my hood, popped the strut cap, and was able to fix the issue without tearing apart my front suspension again. This tool is a super cost-effective way to do the job RIGHT.

Perfect for a 2012 BMW M3 - couldn't have done the job (the right way) without this. I've seen people skip this tool and scratch up their strut tower area/paint - this prevents any chance of that happening. Was very easy to use.Highly recommended!

Its a strut nut socket, only buy if you want to do 21mm. Not good for 22mm or 20mm or any other size but 21mm. Obviously.
