I'm disappointed with this item. Even though it claims that it can handle a couple foot vertical climb, but all I can get is to do even after adjusting the flow rate was a tiny trickle out the top of my fountain.For a much smaller fountain, I'm sure it would be fine, though. The manufacturer needs to change the specs listed and what they claim that it can do, so that people are not misinformed or duped.

This is a pretty good little pump. It would certainly be nice if they gave direction on what size hose to purchase for it. (1/4 inch for those wondering). Flow control is by the little slider shown in the pictures. it effectively changes from just a trickle to a lot. Its lightweight and probably all plastic. But what do you expect for six Bucks?My intended use is for a fountain, and it's going to work just fine. Unfortunately no pictures. I had an injury and can't finish the project for several months. That also means I can't comment on longevity. But I'm satisfied its a great value for the money.

Don't let the cheap price fool you these things have some really good pressure for their size they're quiet and priced right, I use one to replace one of the cat water fountains and I had to turn it almost all the way down so it's got plenty of power The second one I bought I'm going to use in my hydroponics DWC setup it's definitely got enough power for that

It worked great for about two months. Strong flow and the setting can be adjusted. I used it in a foundation in my office. However, it just stopped working this week. Not sure why but …… I guess for the price it did well when you consider cost versus use per how many days that have passed.

this small pump works for hydroponics. The cord is long enough and seems to be water proof enough so I appreciate that. Hooks up great and is easy to use. Would recommend for small systems.

My main use case was as a replacement for the pump in our pet water fountain. While this was a good size match, our particular fountain has a small hole through the metal that can fit a usb cord. The standard two pronged plug is permanently attached so this was not a good match for this application so I ordered a different product.I intend to use this as a pump for a small outdoor pond in the spring or in an aquarium. It’s a good product, but if you’re trying to use it for a replacement on a pet fountain, consider the design and whether this will work.
