I purchased this to install on a Sumiko Pearl phono cartridge. I wanted to see if the Pearl would still produce acceptable sound and tracking. IT DOES! I am very happy with the sound from this conical stylus and it saves me about 15-20 dollars compared to the pearl stylus. I will definitely purchase again.

The Black Pearl is my favorite phono cartridge, this replacement stylus costing half of the cartridge itself. That seems very fair to me considering how so many stylus replacements now are nearly the same price as the entire cartridge...This stylus is not fussy about set-up, tracks beautifully at 2 grams and has a full musical sound. It's also interchangeable with the elliptical Pearl stylus which I have also used. My ears prefer the smoother if less detailed sound of this Black Pearl conical tip...Think ATVM95C with a slightly softer top end and fuller bass and you have an idea of the Black pearl sound...
