It fit perfectly around the legs of the ladder. Automatically step in it before going in and coming out. Light weight enough to change out water when needed but heavy enough to not move.

A regular kids' wading pool is too high for the chickens to hop into and too difficult to change daily. This little foot bath tray , generally meant to rinse your feet before getting into a above ground swimming pool, is only about 3" deep and only about 15-16" across and can be handled easily to empty, rinse, keep replacing the water in them when it gets dirty. I'm saying they work well as chicken wading pools because they're shallow enough for chickens to get into and easy to clean and refill with clean water

Got this figuring it would be great for the kids to use to clean their feet before entering the pool. I love that it attaches to the ladder... until we have to move the ladder while in the pool then it becomes a nuisance. However, it broke after two months of use with a huge Crack on the side. So do yourself a favor... get a bucket or plastic bin from the dollar tree and save yourself money. It's a great idea just poor execution if the sun can quickly ruin the plastic in only two months.

The plastic shattered into several pieces when someone accidentally stepped on the edge. This happened in the first hour we used it, so it wasn't old and had not been exposed to the weather for an extended period of time. Luckily, we did not have small children running around at the time as some of the pieces were quite sharp. On the plus side, it is large enough for even the largest men's feet. It will not fit into the supports of a decent ladder though, so save your money if you're looking for high quality.
