Roman shade looks great! I gave it a 4 because it is very difficult to put enough tension on the roller shade part to easily move the pleated part to go up and down. The roman shade part if pretty heavy.

It shows black stripe at top. There isn't one. Really wanted that so it stood out from trim. One of the shades has uneven bottom corner where they meet and loose threads across the middle. None of this showed up until I hung it and at that point wasn't about to take down and return. Other one was fine except black across the top missing. Glad I bought on sale, but still not cheap.

These are wonderful Roman shades for the money. The fabric is great for use in my kitchen by the sink. Crisp, easy to install. Except for the handle. Can’t figure out that yet!

I first hesitated to put this up because I thought it would be too much trouble for me on the ladder. I was going to hire a handyman, but I decided to try it first. My window is 35 1/2 inches inside edge to edge. I toyed with installing this externally on top of the window, but they fit in between beautifully, and with the hangers supplied, it was a simple install. It darkens the room significantly and is very attractive. It's a color scheme that works for you. Do not hesitate; terrific shade. Recommended

This Denna Black Ribbon Boarder Stripe blind by Sun Zero has an easy to use mechanism, is extremely well constructed, and was easy to install. What you first notice with this shade, is how it is constructed with very good materials. There is a separate backing incorporated in this shade, that ensures no light will come through the main shade. Opening and closing is simple, per the mechanism is completely spring loaded for easy use. Hanging is simple, with hardware and brackets provided.

We got these a few weeks ago, and my husband just decided to put them up in his office the other day, because I think he's giving me chores for Christmas. (It's fine. I like when he does stuff around the house I can't.) I got these because of the neutral yet chic coloring. Love the white with the black side border. Works perfectly to give a little pizzazz to his grey room. He said they were easy to put up (for once, he didn't need my help!) and just brought me down to show me how they worked. He also did a video, but I'm not sure how to load it for you. It shows the shades in action, how easily they go up and down, and all without cords. He really likes the Roman style layering of the shade, and I like that our neighbors can't look into his room and see all his goodies (I'm talking about his gun cabinet and computer equipment!) Does totally block the light except a little bit on the sides when the shade is pulled down. Love it. A+ from us. Hope they also block some of the cold from the window, since it's on the east side of the house.

If you want complete blackout, this blind isn't the one to buy. The way it's designed there's horizontal stitching that light comes through. It's not terrible if you only need the room mostly dark. But the product description stated 100% blackout and this blind does not deliver on that. It was relatively easy to install and does go up and down smoothly. 2 stars.

Decent quality shade made up of a cloth front and a standard rolling liner backing it. Mechanism to go up and down is easy to use and works well with little effort.Shade is a "standard" size, but our windows are not. While the shade is darkening, sunlight will still bleed in around the shade if the window is larger, as it is in our case. The liner does help.Installation went quick as I did not have to drill holes, but used the ones from the shade I was replacing. The brackets are made to attach from the rear as well, but that would not work for our windows. I additionally used a washer as I did not trust the screw head in the larger opening I attached through. The shade was solidly held by the brackets.
