Bought this socket to replace DEF filters on Cummins aftertreatment systems. The socket fits the filter housings perfectly and hasn't been affected by the DEF fluid

Very nice socket, well made, packaged well. I really like the hex of the socket goes all the way in, allows things like hydraulic fittings and such to set all the way in for positive engagement on the hex without damaging threads. Nice laser engraving of size, also stamped if any ever happens to the engraving.

Doing a brake job on my 89 VW Vanagon I needed to remove the castle nuts on the rear axels. Although I do have a pneumatic impact driver, I didn't have a 46mm socket. I futzed around for a few hours using a cast iron box end wrench and a 4' cheater leaving me with a torqued back and scuffed knuckles. So I bit the bullet and ordered this. Interestingly, a 1-13/16 inch impact socket was less expensive than the metric equivalent, although this is .037" larger.With my impact wrench the job took 30 seconds to complete. A good reminder that,although your initial expense may be higher, having the right tools will save time and money in the long run. This is a lesson I seem to need to relearn on a continual basis.After multiple uses the socket shows almost no signs of wear. I don't know how it would hold up in a commercial environment, but for the home mechanic, for occasional use, it seems way more than adequate. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another socket from this manufacturer.

Just got this Sunex impact socket and use it only once and the tool end where it's installed onto my 1/2" drive cordless impact gun got shredded, again, after one use. This shouldn't happen after 1 time but I guess everyone is using inferior products from inferior countries because of cheap labour yet we pay through the teeth for this garbage. Won't buy Sunex tools every again and I recommend no one else does either till these companies start making their tools in North America to a higher standard.

Good socket hard to find a 1/2 drive socket in this size.. a bit heavy but does the job. Ghe price is ok.. much better than buying a snap on brand .
