I bought this tool because it is listed as an impact socket, yet it broke using a my handheld torque wrench set at 40-ft pounds when tightening a torx screw for a rear brake rotor. To clarify, this item broke on the very first screw of a set of 5 screws that I was intending to use this on. Never used it on the impact gun, but suspect it would have broken just the same. Don’t waste your cash, I’m glad I bought another torx set alongside this single one which I used to complete my job instead.

A great fit, but it breaks very easily. Surprisingly easily.Just spend the money and get something better.

Bought to use on tie rod end. Broke instantly with first use. The price was right for something I needed for a one time use but you get what you pay for. Junk. Do not buy.

I had got the tool in a timely manner the problem I had was for a impact socket it was very weak broke almost immediately, very little tork on the tool by hand and it snapped right off / so I got a craftsman at the local hardware store it worked just fine .

Purchased to put in 8” GRKs. Bought two of them and they were both broken off within 10 screws. Not impact rated I would say

Up Front, I haven't used this yet. I did have this in a 3/8 drive version of this that snapped immediately. This one is the same thickness but is 1/2" drive. Torx end is slightly smaller than a #2 pencil.

The picture is misleading, the actual bit is like 2 inches long, with just a little twist on the top , all I did was put it on the hand wrench to loosen a siezed bolt and it snapped the tip off like a cheap phillips head bit !!!! , you would think something with a 1/2 inch drive would be engineered properly but this socket bit is not, made for 1/2 inch drive ........ a 1/4 inch hand twister at the most
