This bedspread was purchased after we purchased and received our new king size mattress, which is 16” deep. We found we had to purchase new linens to fit the depth of our new mattress (an unexpected expenditure, but obviously a necessary one). We wanted something wide enough to cover the base linens and drape nicely atop our bed and bed skirt.First, this bedspread does that; it drapes nicely, covers our base linens, and sits nicely atop our bed and bed skirt without hiding it completely. It’s lightweight, soft, and the coverage is appropriate – almost too much, particularly in length.Where this product fails miserably, hence the overall two-star rating, is that it snags terribly easily and almost for any reason. While making or sleeping in the bed and coming into contact with the bedspread, if you have a hangnail, snag. If you’re wearing your wedding ring with a raised setting, snag. If you’re wearing a bracelet with decorations, snag. If your pup puts her paws up to greet you in the morning, snag. If your kitty jumps up to insist that it’s breakfast time right meow, snag. If you place your folded clothes on the bed to put them away and a zipper from your favorite pair of jeans comes into contact with it, snag. I have spent more time snipping off pulled, snagged strings from it that one should have to, in order to keep it looking nice.So, while this bedspread checked all of the desired boxes, it has failed miserably in the wear and tear department. So, for that, it gets a snagalicious two stars.

This is a nice looking bedspread,BUT it had a very unpleasant smell, thus making my bedroom smell.So I had to wash it. Washed it in cold water and dryed on low heat and it still shrank. I can still use it, only because my bed rails match the color so well.

Material is soft, washes well looking like new as it comes out of the drier. Just heavy enough for 55 degree nights. Color on the slate blue is perfect. I think it's pretty. The only thing I would change is the width. A real bedspread should hang down more on the sides. Length is perfect hanging down a couple of inches from the floor when tucked under and over the pillow.

I will used it for my bed in spring. I were looking for a bedspread to covered my bed.This bedspread is long and wide.The design is pretty.It has a smell lasted for two days.I will not wash it I will put it in the cleaner. It's very light and I would buy it again.
