Good idea, but bad execution. I don't know many home desks that are only 1 1/2" thick to allow proper clearance for these clamps. It didn't fit mine, which surface and supports combined equals 2".If it had fit, the metals is too thick. My keyboard wobbles when placed on top of this, since it makes the surface of the desk too uneven.

This platform seems well made, but the directions are very unclear. They don't really explain what to do, I had to figure it out on my own. I'm not sure yet if I'm satisfied with the mounting, and I may need to add my own attachments to it.
