Pleasantly surprised by this pan so far (it's been at least 2 months now) because I had read some poor reviews on this brand and was afraid this would be a waste of money. However so far I've been really enjoying it.The nonstick is great but not perfect in that I feel I've had other nonstick that cooked eggs better. For eggs even though I've oiled the pan there is just a teensy bit of sticking but nothing crazy. Everything else besides egg I've cooked on the pan doesn't have this slight sticking issue so I'm really not sure what it is. It doesn't bother me too much because the pan cleans so easily and I've never had to apply any kind of pressure to get things off. Cleaning is effortless. I've seen some complaints too that the choice of metal for the handle was also a bad choice as it gets hot but I never have this issue and it's always cool and safe to touch. Another huge pro is the pan is so lightweight and really easy on the wrists.Overall really liking the pan and will consider more from this brand. Will try to update if the nonstick fails as I am watching closely!

Really nice fry pan and at a great price point. Heats evening, nothing sticks and the fact it can go from stovetop to oven is a huge bonus. Super easy to clean up. So far it's been a great pan, hoping it can last through all the cooking I use it for it.

This is not a high-end premium pan, despite the Sur La Table name, rather it is part of their "Essentials" line, and is priced accordingly. With that being understood this is an excellent piece of cookware, and an incredible bargain. There are other affordable pans that probably appear to have similar features (ie weight, size, non-stick surface), but they are often from unknown and untested brands. Having reviewed a few hundred items on Vine, one thing I have learned is that you cannot trust small unknown brands any more than you can verify all their claims for yourself. Personally I don't want to be cooking on a pan that could contain toxic elements in the non-stick surface, and that is something that I don't worry about with Sur La Table. They are too large and established as a company to risk bringing that kind of liability on themselves. And all that being in consideration it is a no contest, this is my go-to low-cost pan.Personally I'm not a huge fan of non-stick, I grew up with cast iron and stainless steel, but I put non-stick pans in an Airbnb, and I feel reassured knowing that I am providing a safe pan from a reputable company, without breaking the bank. I did test this pan for myself and I found it very easy to cook in, I fried some potatoes and eggs, and nothing sticked. It was easy to use and easy to clean. The pan is definitely light weight, but a lot of people prefer that. As far as the long term durability, I hope that our guests will refrain from using metal utensils with it and that it will hold up well for a long time to come.

OK, so it's not a little pan; it's a large 4.5 quarts that is very convenient for many cooking needs. I love to cook and especially enjoy a non stick pan with easy clean up. This pan delivers! It’s a great size and great for making spaghetti sauce in a small batch or cooking vegetables. The handle is riveted and stays cool to the touch. It's impressive that the pan can be used on virtually any type of cook-top and in the oven. It is advertised as dishwasher safe but I seldom use my dishwasher so I can not confirm this. Clean up is a breeze in the sink. The only improvement I would suggest is to make the lid out of glass. It’s a great price point for such a handy size pan that performs as advertised.

We tried out our new Sur La Table 12-inch skillet yesterday and were amazed! We have an induction cooktop and this pan fits perfectly over the large burner, heats up quickly, and cleanup is a breeze! Our burger patties—pan fried on the stovetop in butter—turned out so flavorful because the pan heats to the perfect temp quickly and stays there! The size of the pan also allows for family size cooking. We only cooked 2 large patties but you could have easily fit 2 more. If a smaller size, then even more would have fit. I have to say that the result was better than when we pan fried using our All Clad skillet! But what amazed me more than anything was the cleanup…a quick wipe down with a paper towel and the pan looked like new! Undoubtedly as we continue using it, it might need a little soap and a rinse, but in a pinch a paper towel will work just fine. The instructions state that you should use soft utensils with the ceramic coating and we will certainly do that to prolong the life of this wonderful pan. I have to say that I’m very impressed with Sur La Table products. We have their air fryer and it’s been a workhorse for us, so it’s not surprising that their signature skillet would also be amazing! Thank you!

This has quickly become one of my favorite things. I cook for 1-4 people, depending on the day and am very particular when it comes to cookware. These pieces brown meat well, are nonstick without feeling chemical coated, and are lighter and easier to manage than Le Creuset or Staub. The quality is so great for the price. I highly recommend this set.
