I bought a pair of these to fit Antelope Edge Duo mics, with a measured diameter of 53.13 mm. Expected the mounts to be a little tight. Nope. Metal-to-metal contact all the way around, with the mount expanded to max. My Starrett digital calipers say the range is 46+ mm to 49+ mm. (There's some foam padding around the inside of the clamp ring, so measurements are approximate.) In stock dress, there might be a way to get the things farther open than that, but my fingers won't do it - and yours won't, either. So, I disassembled the mount and pulled the ends of the clamp ring apart as hard as I dared, several times. The spring is now a little sprung, and the ends of the collar are about 1 cm apart at rest. The minimum (no spring tension) inner diameter is now about 49 mm, and I can just get the thing to go over my 53 mm mic. I'm happy with that outcome, though not at all pleased that it took a really abusive intervention to achieve it.

Used for 2 days and it's already broken. This is made of really low grade metal. Mount would not stay in place when tightened and my mic kept falling down. I'm not even using a big heavy condenser - it's a first run AKG C3000 which is fairly small and lightweight. Had to repeatedly tighten as far as I could get it by hand and eventually the threads stripped out. Did I mention I had it for a whole 2 days? I need to stop buying cheap crap from this site. It's not worth it. My advise to anyone reading this - if you need a shock mount and you care even a little bit about your gear, spend the money and get a good one. Anything in this price range is bound to fail at the worst possible time.

It holds strongly a professional microphone even moving the arm back and forth for several times.
