For anyone who used the original basket you know that the handle was crap! This has a metal handle that is properly attached and the basket itself is made a superior plastic formula.

It look good and more solid than my previous skimmer basket. It is also heavier and it sinks to the bottom skimmer intake easier.

This is the 2nd basket that I purchased and I can't seem to get the exact fit. This will be the closest fit so I'm keeping it. It's a bit expensive but just touching it, it is quality made and heavy.

Was so tired of cheap baskets that did not hold up. These baskets are very heavy, sturdy and well made. The handle is actually useable and sturdy. HIGHLY recommend .

This thing is built like a tank. There's a review on here with one star saying it cracked, and I have to wonder how they managed it. It's at least twice as think as either of the manufacturer-supplied baskets I've gone through in 10 years, so this one will probably last until I retire. It also has METAL HANDLE, well-seated into the thick rim.Another review noted the holes were big enough to let pine needles through. Technically, yes. However, the holes are no larger than any other basket I've seen (mine or others), and something that can stop pine needles would clog almost instantly, so I'm not sure what to tell someone about that.No complaints here. It dropped right into place and is working quite well. Should it actually have an issue, I'll come back and update this review.
