Good laminator while it lasted, but only lasted us a little under 2 years. Not worth the cost.

I have owned this for 2 years and it is dead. The description says, "Ideal for a large office that laminates frequently, this top of the line," We were not a large office that used it frequently. Used pretty infrequently, maybe monthly, and its now dead. I would think something that costs close to $300 would last longer than 2 years. I guess pay extra for the extended warranty.

When it works, it's great. I tried 5 mil and 10 mil and they all laminate very well. Unfortunately, after roughly a half dozen pages, now it flat out refuses to turn on. Plug it in and it beeps and that's the last of it. While it was working though.... fantastic.

Obviously I received a defective unit. The very first pouch I put in never came out and the highly touted auto reverse never kicked in. Unit started smoking heavily, followed by a loud beeping "E4" error. I wasn't happy at this point. When I looked through the operation manual, there was no mention of how to handle an error of this type (or any other - auto reverse covers it all I guess) - nor was there so much as a phone number. The first part, while annoying and unpleasant may not warrant a single star rating, but this product does not alert users about possible problems, how to handle malfunctions, or contact information. Oh, and the 1 minute warm up wasn't functional with the unit I received as it took a solid 4 minutes to ready itself. Poor experience all around.

The power button is temper-mental. Sometimes it works well, other time you push and push it with no activity, then minutes later it will work.
