I picked this smaller fixture up to use in temporary set ups - like when I do a deep clean on the big enclosure. It's the perfect size to give my lizard "kids" the UV they need, even in their temporary/travel enclosure. The fixture is decent quality, the bulb was easy to install and it worked when I switched it on - can't ask for much more than that! Since I'm not using this daily I'm hoping the bulb will last awhile. Decent value - especially for what I'm using it for. I have multiple lizards so I might pick up a second one down the road.

I'm planning on upgrading to a longer T5 fixture once I upgrade my snake's enclosure, but this shorter bar light fits the current enclosure perfectly.It comes with the hardware to mount the fixture inside or on top of the enclosure, but I've just set it on the top of mine for now. So far I haven't noticed it putting off any excessive heat, which it shouldn't, given the type of light it is.The only kind of weird thing with this one is that, while it has the plug-in part on either side of the fixture, it leaves them both uncapped and open. Other similar fixtures have the option to plug in the cord on either side, but they usually have one of them capped so that it's not just open to the outside world, so that would've been nice if this one was that way. But oh well, so far it's not affecting the usage of it at all.
