I was so impressed with this bipod's construction and sturdiness, especially at this price point, but it soon turned to disappointment.Even at the narrowest setting of the adjustment screw, it would not clamp on tight enough on any of my Picatinny rails. I tried it on several with the same result: gripped, but was too wobbly. If the clamp could be narrowed a bit more, it would hold tight enough to make it useful. Unfortunately, this one disappointed and has to go back.

Pros: Compared to other, similar style, bipods this unit is pretty light in weight but it is still fairly sturdy. The spring tension is nice and tight to keep everything where you want it. I did not try to use the swivel stud adapter but mounted this directly to a picatinny rail. Once I got the quick release tension dialed in it fit nice and tight. I like the quick release cantilever mount...this allows you to add or remove quickly and easily. The coating on the aluminum is matte and seems durable.Cons: There is some play in the legs. It is just a little wobble, but a little wobble can make a big difference in a bipod. Also, you almost need two hands to deploy the legs to their full length. Instead of just pulling on the leg foot you have to push the release button and pull on the foot of the leg at the same time. You can do it one handed but it feels awkward and would take practice to become proficient. Lastly, this unit can pinch your fingers. If you get you finger where the extension retracts into the leg body, and release the switch to retract the leg extension, there is enough space and edges that it will "bite" you. It isn't a bandage situation but it does smart. All that being said, I think this is great budget friendly bipod for plinking or target practice. I personally would not use it on a duty weapon or a hunting rig as it just doesn't live up to those more important conditions.

When you put this on your rifle it's wobbly and will not lock on properly to picatiny rail

I put this on my 22lr rifle and it works Great. The locking mechanism is a bit loose on the provided rail so with heavy recoiling firearms it will come loose, but on my 22 it stays secure with a little bit of red loctite.
