This stand it solid, but the hihat spring is a little weak, and I should have got the 2 legged one since I clamped it to my bass drum (had to fight it a little to get that to fit), so if u r clamping it as well, just get tue 2 legged one.

This is a great hi hat stand even compared to top-of-the-line offerings. It's definitely on the heavier side (not an issue - I don't gig... yet). Zero wobble on soft carpet if you set the leg tips 1/4" to 1/2" lower than the footboard.Although it provides great grip with shoes on, the pedal is not designed for barefoot or sock use. The black portions on the pedal are as-cast and slightly recessed from the silver machined areas, forming sharp edges.

Insanely nice for this price. It's solid, heavy, easily adjustable to fit your playing style, and is 'modular' so you can order just the item that breaks instead of the whole stand. The only issue I had was configuring the screw that changes the angle of the seat, which is plastic and wasn't holding still very well, so the hi-hat splash was a little difficult at first. Once I tweaked everything I realized I'm not so terrible, just needed a nice stand :)

This is a fantastic value for money hi-hat stand with virtually all the features of it's more expensive stable mate in the range. It has full range of adjustments with great locking mechanisms. Played hard and fast it remains completely steady and smooth in action. Highly recommended for the money - I know this will give years of good service in a gigging environment.
