While the description does state "not for continuous use", this relay gets extremely hot without any motor load even hooked up. After 3 minutes of energizing one coil, the relay enclosure became extremely hot. If you unhooked the load but accidentally left the relay energized, you could have problems depending on where this device is mounted. I suggest mounting it in free air and not in any plastic enclosure. Or strap it down to some steel where some of the heat can be dissipated. Don't mount it under a mattress, carpet or anything of the sort. The description of this listing does not really warn of the potential danger of leaving the relay energized. If your plan was to run anything beyond 90 seconds, just forget about this relay. The relay enclosure exceeded 160⁰f in three minutes with no motor load.

Diagram on box did not match pin locations. Common actually exists on the same side as the + battery pin.

This little relay arrived in a couple of days and turned out to be a much better unit than that provided on our pop-up camper winch. The camper winch relay is not a sealed unit and is located under the winch exposed to rain and crud as well as the spray lube they suggest you maintain your winch with. That stuff will wreak havoc with unsealed relays. This unit is solid and sealed. I did have to do some minor rewiring, and also took the time to relocate it. It worked straight away and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Oh...and besides being made in America, its less than half the price of the funky camper unit.
