Split in harsh winter conditions. Also found it really hard to fit compaired to smooth vinyl tubing. Will try it on indoor tanks

Good tubing for fishpond filters, waterfalls and draining. It has wire inside the plastic but is still easy to cut to size.

Awesome water line. Soft and flexible, yet very durable. It’s great.

It's decent but relatively thin walled.A good yank will cause it to tear along the spiral reinforcement.if you are moving any particulates in your water it will be subject to internal abrasion & eventually develop leaks.Best used as a return line post filtration. If it was thicker walled it would be less prone to slow drips at fittings when clamped in place.I recommend flexible PVC pipe over this if it is anywhere it can possibly be knocked or displaced.

I bought the 1" ID version to connect to a 1100 gph Seaflo bilge pump to use as a raw water wash down system I was making for my boat (pump mounted to a trim tab). I had trouble finding one that I thought would be flexible (not stiff plastic) and durable enough . . . and at a reasonable price. I wasn't sure when I ordered this one, but it turned out to be a very good choice.I was worried that this might be like a smaller version of the blow-molded, corrugated gutter drain pipe you see at the home stores. It is not. It is a rubbery-like material with decent wall thickness between ribs. It is nearly smooth on the inside; you can barely feel where the ribs are. I is easy to wrap into 12" diameter roll or smaller for storage and can be bent quite easily almost back onto itself without kinking (at least at 70 degrees F). I wouldn't recommend stepping on it, but I think it would survive if you gave it a few minutes to recover its shape (I probably have stepped on it). Hardest part for my application was getting the end to fit over the 1-1/8" pump outlet. It was quite hard to get the end to stretch enough to fit. I ended up having to soak it in nearly boiling soapy water with a 1" dowel stuck in the end and that I had split in half and wedged apart so hard it almost split the tubing - but I got it on. Probably don't even need a clamp, but I put one on it for good measure. I almost bought the 1-1/4" version, but I didn't have the pump to measure the nozzle to see if it was tapered enough to handle it - it doesn't look like that would have worked. Overall this is a good product - at least for my needs. I need to see if it holds up over time, but my only real concern is if it gets brittle after being in the sun. Based on first impressions, I expect it will hold up for many years.
